South 24 Parganas کے مختلف علاقوں میں 15 پولنگ بوتھس پر ہفتہ کے روز دوبارہ ووٹنگ کا آغاز ہو گیا۔ یہ اقدام Election Commission of India کی جانب سے انتخابی بے ضابطگیوں اور الیکٹرانک ووٹنگ مشینوں (EVM) میں مبینہ چھیڑ چھاڑ کی شکایات کے بعد کیا گیا۔
اطلاعات کے مطابق صبح 7 بجے شروع ہونے والی اس ری پولنگ میں مگراہٹ پشم کے 11 اور Diamond Harbour کے 4 پولنگ بوتھ شامل ہیں۔ یہ دونوں حلقے جنوبی 24 پرگنہ ضلع میں واقع ہیں، جہاں 29 اپریل کو دوسرے مرحلے کے تحت ووٹنگ ہوئی تھی۔
انتخابی حکام کے مطابق یہ فیصلہ ریٹرننگ افسران اور مبصرین کی رپورٹس، اور دستیاب شواہد کو مدنظر رکھتے ہوئے کیا گیا۔
Bharatiya Janata Party نے ان علاقوں میں انتخابی بے ضابطگیوں کے الزامات عائد کرتے ہوئے دعویٰ کیا کہ بعض بوتھس پر ووٹنگ کے مخصوص بٹن کو ٹیپ کے ذریعے بند کر دیا گیا تھا۔
اس کے برعکس Trinamool Congress سے متعلق حلقوں نے ان الزامات کو مسترد کیا ہے۔
ریاست میں اسمبلی انتخابات دو مراحل—23 اور 29 اپریل—میں مکمل ہوئے، جبکہ ووٹوں کی گنتی 4 مئی کو متوقع ہے۔
West Bengal: Repolling Begins at 15 Booths
Repolling commenced on Saturday at 15 polling booths across South 24 Parganas following directives issued by the Election Commission of India after complaints of electoral irregularities and alleged tampering with Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
The fresh voting, which began at 7 am, covers 11 booths in Magrahat Paschim and 4 booths in Diamond Harbour. Both constituencies had earlier gone to polls on April 29 during the second phase of the state assembly elections.
Officials stated that the decision was taken after reviewing reports submitted by returning officers and election observers, along with other available inputs.
The Bharatiya Janata Party alleged irregularities at several polling stations, claiming that certain voting buttons were obstructed using tape.
The Trinamool Congress has rejected these allegations.
The West Bengal Assembly elections were conducted in two phases on April 23 and April 29, with counting of votes scheduled for May 4.
