ابتدائی اشارے بتاتے ہیں کہ واشنگٹن بعض نرم رویّے اختیار کرنے پر آمادہ ہے—جیسے مرحلہ وار تعاون اور ایرانی اثاثوں کے ممکنہ انجماد میں نرمی—مگر اس کے ساتھ ہی اس کی بنیادی شرائط بدستور قائم ہیں، جن میں ایران کے جوہری پروگرام کا خاتمہ اور آبنائے ہرمز کی بحالی شامل ہے۔

دوسری جانب تہران نے واضح کیا ہے کہ کوئی بھی دیرپا معاہدہ اُس وقت تک ممکن نہیں جب تک اس کے منجمد اثاثوں تک رسائی اور حزب اللہ کے خلاف کارروائیوں کا خاتمہ یقینی نہ بنایا جائے۔

یہ مذاکرات اگرچہ ایک امید کی کرن لیے ہوئے ہیں، مگر پسِ پردہ اختلافات کی گہری خلیج اب بھی موجود ہے—لبنان کی صورتِ حال، پابندیوں کا خاتمہ، اور علاقائی طاقت کا توازن ایسے سوالات ہیں جو اب بھی جواب کے منتظر ہیں۔

اگر یہ سفارتی سفر کامیابی سے ہمکنار نہ ہو سکا، تو ایک بار پھر جنگ کے بادل گہرے ہو سکتے ہیں—اور یوں انسانیت ایک اور آزمائش کے دہانے پر کھڑی ہو گی۔
