تمل ناڈو کی سیاست ایک ایسے نازک اور غیر متوقع مرحلے میں داخل ہو چکی ہے جہاں نظریات، اتحاد، اور سیاسی دشمنیاں سب وقتی مصلحتوں کے سامنے دھندلاتی دکھائی دے رہی ہیں۔ اسمبلی انتخابات کے منتشر نتائج نے ریاست کے سیاسی منظرنامے کو اس قدر غیر یقینی بنا دیا ہے کہ برسوں سے ایک دوسرے کے خلاف صف آراء رہنے والی جماعتیں اب اقتدار کے استحکام کے نام پر نئے امکانات پر غور کر رہی ہیں۔

درمیانِ سیاسی ہلچل، دراوڑ منیترا کڑگم (DMK) کی قیادت کی جانب سے اپنے دیرینہ حریف آل انڈیا انا ڈی ایم کے (AIADMK) کی ممکنہ حمایت کی خبریں سامنے آئیں تو ریاست بھر میں حیرت کی لہر دوڑ گئی۔ ایک ہفتہ قبل تک جس سیاسی قربت کا تصور بھی محال سمجھا جاتا تھا، آج وہ اقتدار کے ایوانوں میں سنجیدہ بحث کا موضوع بن چکی ہے۔

اسی دوران گورنر راجیندر وشواناتھ آرلیکر نے تملگا ویتری کڑگم (TVK) کے سربراہ اداکار و سیاست دان C. Joseph Vijay کو مطلع کیا کہ وہ ابھی تک حکومت سازی کے لیے مطلوبہ اکثریت ثابت نہیں کر سکے ہیں۔ اس اعلان نے سیاسی بے یقینی کو مزید گہرا کر دیا۔

ادھر M. K. Stalin نے اپنی جماعت کے منتخب اراکین کے اجلاس میں اس بات پر زور دیا کہ ریاست کو دوبارہ انتخابات کی طرف دھکیلنے کے بجائے ایک مستحکم حکومت کی تشکیل ضروری ہے۔ تاہم، DMK نے اس خدشے کا بھی اظہار کیا کہ “فرقہ پرست قوتوں” کو دراوڑی سیاست میں جگہ نہیں ملنی چاہیے۔

اس سیاسی شطرنج میں کمیونسٹ جماعتیں اور وِدُتھلائی چرُتھئیگل کچّی (VCK) اب “کنگ میکر” کے کردار میں ابھر رہی ہیں۔ ان کی چھ نشستیں نہ صرف TVK بلکہ AIADMK کے اقتدار کے خواب کی بھی کنجی بن گئی ہیں۔ سیاسی مبصرین کے مطابق یہ وہ لمحہ ہے جہاں نظریاتی وفاداریاں اقتدار کے استحکام اور سیاسی بقا کے درمیان جھولتی محسوس ہو رہی ہیں۔

DMK نے اپنے سابق اتحادی کانگریس پر بھی سخت ناراضی ظاہر کرتے ہوئے اسے “سیاسی بے وفائی” قرار دیا۔ پارٹی قیادت کا کہنا ہے کہ اتحاد کی سیاست میں اعتماد سب سے بڑی بنیاد ہوتا ہے، اور جب یہی بنیاد لرزنے لگے تو پورا سیاسی ڈھانچہ عدم یقین کا شکار ہو جاتا ہے۔

تمل ناڈو اس وقت صرف حکومت سازی کے بحران سے نہیں گزر رہا بلکہ وہ ایک ایسے سوال سے بھی دوچار ہے:
کیا سیاست نظریات کی محافظ رہے گی یا اقتدار کی ضرورتیں نئے رشتے تراشیں گی؟

Tamil Nadu’s political landscape has entered a deeply uncertain and symbolic phase where old rivalries appear to be softening under the pressure of fractured electoral arithmetic. The post-election atmosphere has transformed into a theatre of negotiations, anxieties, and unexpected political possibilities.

In a dramatic development, the leadership of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam is reportedly exploring the idea of extending outside support to its long-time rival, the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. A possibility once considered politically unimaginable is now being discussed in the name of governmental stability.

Meanwhile, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam chief C. Joseph Vijay was informed by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar that he had not yet demonstrated the legislative majority required to form a government. The announcement intensified speculation across the State’s already fragile political environment.

At a meeting of newly elected legislators, M. K. Stalin emphasized the need for a stable administration and warned against circumstances that could allow “communal forces” to gain a foothold in Tamil Nadu’s Dravidian political framework.

In this unfolding drama, the Left parties and the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi have emerged as decisive power brokers. Their limited but crucial numbers now hold the balance between competing alliances and leadership ambitions.

The DMK also launched a sharp attack on the Congress, accusing its former ally of political betrayal after it shifted support toward the TVK camp. Party leaders argued that alliances survive not merely on seat-sharing arrangements, but on trust, political sincerity, and ideological commitment.

Beyond numbers and negotiations, Tamil Nadu now faces a larger moral and political question:
Will politics remain anchored in ideology, or will the compulsions of power redraw the map of relationships altogether?
