کیا کوہِ نور ہیرا بھارت کو مل سکتا ہے

کبھی کبھی تاریخ کے زخم صدیوں بعد بھی لفظوں کی صورت میں جاگ اٹھتے ہیں۔

امریکہ کے شہر نیوریاک سٹی کے میئر ظہران  ممدانی نے ایک ایسا جملہ ادا کیا ہے جس نے ماضی کی خاموش دیواروں میں ہلچل پیدا کر دی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ اگر انہیں موقع ملے تو وہ کنگ چارلس  سوم سے درخواست کریں گے کہ کوہِ نور ہیرا بھارت کو واپس لوٹا دیا جائے۔

بھارت نے بارہا اس قیمتی ورثے کی واپسی کا مطالبہ کیا ہے، کیونکہ یہ ہیرا محض قیمتی پتھر نہیں بلکہ ایک یادگارِ تاریخ ہے—ایک ایسا آئینہ جس میں نوآبادیاتی دور کی تلخیاں جھلکتی ہیں۔
