ایران بھر میں 1979 کے اسلامی انقلاب کی 47ویں سالگرہ قومی جوش و خروش کے ساتھ منائی گئی۔ دارالحکومت تہران سمیت مختلف شہروں میں لاکھوں افراد سڑکوں پر نکل آئے اور اسلامی جمہوریہ سے اظہارِ یکجہتی کیا۔
مظاہرین نے سپریم لیڈر Ali Khamenei اور انقلاب کے بانی Ruhollah Khomeini کی تصاویر اٹھا رکھی تھیں، جب کہ ایرانی اور فلسطینی پرچم بھی لہراتے دکھائی دیے۔ بعض مقامات پر امریکہ اور اسرائیل کے خلاف نعرے بازی کی گئی اور علامتی طور پر پرچم نذرِ آتش کیے گئے۔
تقریبات میں گزشتہ برس اسرائیل کے ساتھ 12 روزہ کشیدگی کے دوران استعمال ہونے والے ایرانی میزائلوں اور مار گرائے گئے اسرائیلی ڈرون کے ملبے کی نمائش بھی کی گئی، جو موجودہ علاقائی تناؤ کی علامت تھی۔
صدر Masoud Pezeshkian نے تہران کے آزادی اسکوائر میں خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ایران اپنے جوہری پروگرام کے حوالے سے “منصفانہ اور متوازن” مذاکرات کے لیے تیار ہے، مگر قومی خودمختاری پر کوئی سمجھوتہ نہیں ہوگا۔ انہوں نے بیرونی دباؤ کے مقابلے میں قومی اتحاد پر زور دیا۔
ادھر امریکی صدر Donald Trump کی جانب سے مشرقِ وسطیٰ میں بحری بیڑوں کی تعیناتی اور ایران پر دباؤ کی خبروں کے باعث خطے میں بے چینی پائی جاتی ہے۔
اگرچہ ریلیاں حکومتی حمایت کے اظہار کے لیے منعقد کی گئیں، لیکن حالیہ مہینوں میں معاشی بحران، افراطِ زر اور ایرانی کرنسی کی قدر میں کمی کے باعث ملک کے مختلف حصوں میں احتجاجی مظاہرے بھی دیکھنے میں آئے تھے۔ تجزیہ کاروں کے مطابق یہ سالگرہ ایسے وقت آئی ہے جب ایران بیرونی خطرات اور اندرونی اختلافات دونوں کا سامنا کر رہا ہے۔
آزادی ٹاور اور میلاد ٹاور پر آتش بازی نے تقریبات کو علامتی اختتام دیا، جو انقلاب کی بقا اور قومی عزم کی تصویر پیش کر رہی تھی۔

Iran marked the 47th anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution with nationwide rallies, as large crowds gathered in Tehran and other cities to commemorate the establishment of the Islamic Republic.
Demonstrators carried portraits of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the revolution’s founder Ruhollah Khomeini, waving Iranian and Palestinian flags. Anti-US and anti-Israel slogans were heard at several gatherings, with symbolic displays including the burning of flags.
The events featured imagery of Iranian missiles and fragments of downed Israeli drones from last year’s 12-day confrontation, underscoring heightened regional tensions.
Addressing supporters at Azadi Square, President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran remains open to a “fair and balanced” agreement regarding its nuclear programme, while stressing national unity in the face of external pressures.
Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has reportedly reinforced American military presence in the Middle East, adding to concerns of escalating tensions.
Although the rallies aimed to project unity and public backing for the government, recent months have witnessed protests over economic hardship, inflation, and the depreciation of the Iranian rial. Analysts note that this anniversary comes at a critical juncture as Iran navigates both external threats and internal divisions.
Fireworks illuminated Tehran’s skyline near Azadi and Milad Towers, symbolising resilience and continuity of the revolution amid uncertain regional dynamics.
