"تولکاپیئم” جیسے عظیم کلاسیکی تمل متن کا اردو ترجمہ کاشی تمل سنگم 4.0 جیسے بین الاقوامی وقار کے حامل پلیٹ فارم پر اس ترجمے کی رسمِ اجرا ہم سب کے لیے باعثِ فخر ہے۔ اس موقع پر اتر پردیش کے وزیر اعلیٰ، تمل ناڈو کے گورنر اور معزز مرکزی وزرا کے ہاتھوں اس کتاب کا اجرا اردو اور تمل زبانوں کے مابین تہذیبی و علمی رشتوں کو مزید مستحکم کرتا ہے۔ یہ علمی کارنامہ ہندوستان کی کثیر لسانی تہذیبی روایت کو فروغ دینے میں ایک سنگِ میل کی حیثیت رکھتا ہے۔

یہ ترجمہ مدراس یونی ورسٹی کے پروفیسر ڈاکٹر امان اللہ ایم۔بی نے خوش اسلوبی سے انجام دیا ہے۔ اس پیش کش پر پروفیسر موصوف کو اہلِ تمل اور اہلِ اردو دونوں طبقوں کے افراد نے دل کی گہرائیوں سے مبارکباد پیش کی ہے۔ یہ کارنامہ نہ صرف آپ کی علمی بصیرت اور لسانی مہارت کا مظہر ہے بلکہ اردو اور تمل زبانوں کے درمیان ایک مضبوط علمی و تہذیبی پل بھی ہے۔

اس کتاب کا مختصر تعارف قارئین کے لیے پیشِ خدمت ہے تاکہ اس کی اہمیت کا اندازہ ہو سکے۔ تولکاپیئم تمل زبان میں لسانیات اور شعریات کا ایک جامع کلاسیکی متن ہے، جو تمل ادب کے کلاسیکی عہد سے تعلق رکھتا ہے۔ اس متن میں ادبی کلاسیکیت کی نمایاں خصوصیات پائی جاتی ہیں، جیسے اصول پسندی، نظام، باقاعدگی، توازن، ہم آہنگی، مثالیت اور آفاقیت۔

تولکاپیئم زبان اور ادب کو زمانے یا مقام کے بجائے ساخت اور تشکیل کے معیار سے دیکھتا ہے۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ قبل از مسیحی عہد کا یہ متن اپنے زمانے سے آگے بڑھ کر آج بھی ادبی معنویت رکھتا ہے۔ اس میں ہیئت و تکنیک، ادبی روایت، قواعد، صرف و نحو، بحر، علامت نگاری اور اسلوب کے روایتی اصولوں کی پابندی نمایاں ہے۔

یہ متن تمل کے کلاسیکی عہد کے اجتماعی شعور کا نمائندہ ہے، جس میں زبان کی ساخت، ادبی نظریات، علمِ بدیع اور تمل اصنافِ ادب کی روایات شامل ہیں۔ تولکاپیئم کا لسانیاتی حصہ زبان کی اعلیٰ پختگی پر مبنی جامع قواعد پیش کرتا ہے۔ یہ قدیم اصولوں کی پاسداری کے ساتھ ساتھ معاصر اہلِ علم کی آرا کا حوالہ بھی دیتا ہے۔

The release of the Urdu translation of Tolkappiyam, one of the greatest classical texts of Tamil literature, at an internationally prestigious platform such as Kashi Tamil Sangamam 4.0 is a matter of immense pride for all of us. The formal launch of this translation at the hands of the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the Governor of Tamil Nadu, and esteemed Union Ministers has further strengthened the cultural and scholarly bonds between the Urdu and Tamil languages. This remarkable academic achievement stands as a milestone in promoting India’s rich multilingual and civilizational heritage.

The translation has been elegantly accomplished by Professor Dr. Amanullah M.B. of University of Madras. Scholars and admirers from both the Tamil and Urdu literary communities have warmly congratulated the professor on this outstanding contribution. This work is not only a testament to his intellectual insight and linguistic mastery but also serves as a strong scholarly and cultural bridge between the Urdu and Tamil traditions.
