دنیا اس وقت ایک ایسے دوراہے پر کھڑی ہے جہاں بارود کی بو اور امن کے نعرے بیک وقت فضا میں معلق ہیں۔ ہر طرف جنگ ہے—بمباری ہے—اور لاشوں پر کھڑے ہو کر امن کی تقریریں ہیں۔ کہیں طاقت کا مظاہرہ ہے تو کہیں اخلاقیات کی نمائش۔ یہی وہ تضاد ہے جو آج کے عالمی ضمیر کو بے نقاب کرتا ہے۔

امریکی صدر ڈونلڈ ٹرمپ ایک طرف وینزویلا پر حملوں کی دھمکیاں دیتے اور طاقت کے اشارے دکھاتے ہیں، تو دوسری طرف قیامِ امن کی باتیں بھی کرتے ہیں—یہاں تک کہ امن کے لیے نوبل انعام کے خواہاں بھی ہیں۔ سوال یہ ہے: کیا توپوں کی گھن گرج میں امن کا بیج بویا جا سکتا ہے؟ کیا بموں کے سائے میں انسانی ضمیر پنپ سکتا ہے؟

روس و یوکرین کی جنگ، سعودی عرب اور یمن کی خونچکاں کشمکش، ایران اور امریکا و یورپ کے درمیان بڑھتی کشیدگی، سوڈان کی خانہ جنگی، غزہ کا نہ ختم ہونے والا المیہ، اسرائیل کی مسلسل عسکری کارروائیاں—اور پھر افریقہ، بنگلہ دیش، ہند و پاک، چین و کوریا—فہرست طویل ہے، درد مسلسل۔ یہ سب محض جغرافیہ نہیں، انسانی زندگیاں ہیں؛ وہ زندگیاں جن کے خواب ملبے تلے دب جاتے ہیں۔

یہ کیسی دنیا ہے جہاں ایک ہاتھ سے جنگ کا اعلان اور دوسرے ہاتھ سے امن کا منشور تھمایا جاتا ہے؟ کیا انسان نے زمین اس لیے آباد کی تھی کہ وہ انسانیت بھول کر اپنی من مانی طاقت آزماتا پھرے؟ کیا عالمی قیادت کا کام یہ نہیں کہ وہ اختلاف کو گفت و شنید میں ڈھالے، طاقت کو قانون کے تابع کرے، اور امن کو محض تقریر نہیں بلکہ عمل بنائے؟

جنگ کبھی مسئلے کا حل نہیں رہی۔ جنگ نے صرف قبریں بھریں، بستیاں اجاڑیں، اور نسلوں کے دلوں میں خوف بویا۔ امن، اگر سچا ہو، تو وہ کمزور کی ڈھال بنتا ہے؛ اگر نمائشی ہو، تو طاقتور کی تلوار۔ آج دنیا کو پہلی قسم کے امن کی ضرورت ہے—وہ امن جو انصاف سے جڑا ہو، سچ سے بندھا ہو، اور انسان کی حرمت کو مرکز بنائے۔

کیا ہم واقعی امن چاہتے ہیں، یا صرف اس کا لفظ؟اگر مقصد امن ہے تو راستہ جنگ نہیں۔اگر نیت انسانیت ہے تو ہتھیار نہیں—انصاف، مکالمہ اور رحم اختیار کیجیے۔

یہ دنیا انسان کے لیے بنی تھی—انسانیت کے ساتھ۔اگر انسان ہی انسانیت بھول جائے، تو پھر دنیا کا جواز کیا رہ جاتا ہے؟

The Roar of War, the Rhetoric of Peace — Can Such Contradictions Ever Save Humanity?

The world today stands at a crossroads where the smell of gunpowder and the slogans of peace rise together into the same troubled sky.

Everywhere there is war—bombardment, destruction, and death—while atop the ruins stand leaders delivering speeches on peace.

Power is displayed with one hand, morality with the other. This is the stark contradiction that defines our age and exposes the fragile conscience of the global order.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, on one hand threatens and pressures Venezuela, speaks the language of force, and flexes military muscle—while on the other hand talks of peace, global stability, and even aspires to a Nobel Peace Prize. One must ask: Can peace be born under the shadow of bombs? Can the human conscience breathe while missiles scream across the sky?

Russia and Ukraine, Saudi Arabia and Yemen, Iran and the United States with Europe, Sudan’s civil war, Gaza’s unending tragedy, Israel’s military campaigns—then Africa, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan, China and Korea—the list is long, the wounds uncountable.

These are not merely geopolitical flashpoints; they are human lives—dreams crushed beneath rubble, childhoods erased by sirens, futures written in exile and grief.

What kind of world is this, where war is declared with one voice and peace is preached with another? Was this planet created so that humanity could forget its own essence and roam unchecked in arrogance and domination?

Is it not the duty of global leadership to transform conflict into dialogue, power into responsibility, and peace from a slogan into a living reality?

War has never been the solution. It has only filled graveyards, emptied cities, and planted fear in the hearts of generations yet unborn. Peace, if genuine, becomes a shield for the weak; if performative, it turns into a weapon for the strong. Today, the world desperately needs the first kind of peace—one rooted in justice, bound to truth, and centered on the sanctity of human life.
