تمل ناڈو سیاست: اتحاد برقرار، مگر اقتدار کی حد واضح
تمل ناڈو کی آئندہ اسمبلی انتخابات سے قبل حکمراں جماعت ڈی ایم کے نے کانگریس کے ساتھ اتحاد برقرار رکھنے کا اعلان تو کر دیا ہے، تاہم اقتدار کی شراکت کے دروازے فی الحال بند کر دیے ہیں۔ باخبر ذرائع کے مطابق، وزیرِاعلیٰ ایم کے اسٹالن کی قیادت میں ڈی ایم کے نے واضح طور پر کانگریس کو کابینہ میں کوئی نشست دینے سے انکار کر دیا ہے۔
یہ پیش رفت اس ملاقات کے ایک دن بعد سامنے آئی ہے جس میں سابق کانگریس صدر راہل گاندھی اور ڈی ایم کے کی سینئر رہنما کنی موزھی نے دہلی میں 10 جن پتھ پر ملاقات کی۔ ذرائع کے مطابق، اس ملاقات میں سیٹوں کی تقسیم پر کوئی حتمی اتفاق نہ ہو سکا، اگرچہ اتحاد کے تسلسل پر دونوں جانب سے رضامندی ظاہر کی گئی۔
ڈی ایم کے کے ایک سینئر ذریعے نے بتایا کہ “حتمی پیغام یہ ہے کہ کانگریس کے لیے وزارت نہیں، مگر اتحاد برقرار رہے گا۔”
کانگریس کی جانب سے تمل ناڈو میں زیادہ نشستوں اور اقتدار میں بامعنی شراکت کا مطالبہ مسلسل سامنے آ رہا ہے۔ یاد رہے کہ 2021 کے اسمبلی انتخابات میں کانگریس نے 234 میں سے 25 نشستوں پر مقابلہ کیا تھا اور 18 پر کامیابی حاصل کی تھی، مگر ڈی ایم کے اس بار سیٹوں میں اضافے پر آمادہ دکھائی نہیں دیتی۔
سیاسی حلقوں میں یہ بھی چرچا ہے کہ کانگریس کے بعض مقامی رہنما متبادل راستوں، حتیٰ کہ اداکار وجے کی جماعت تملگا ویٹری کزگم (TVK) کے امکان پر بھی غور کر رہے ہیں، تاہم مرکزی قیادت اب بھی ڈی ایم کے کے ساتھ ہی انتخابی میدان میں اترنے کی خواہاں ہے۔
الف نیوز کے مطابق، یہ صورتحال تمل ناڈو کی سیاست میں طاقت کے توازن اور اتحاد کی حدود کو واضح کرتی ہے—جہاں شراکت داری ووٹ تک محدود ہے، اقتدار تک نہیں۔ امکان ہے کہ سیٹوں کی تقسیم کا یہ تعطل انتخابات سے قبل کسی سمجھوتے پر منتج ہو جائے، جو اپریل یا مئی میں متوقع ہیں۔
Tamil Nadu Polls: Alliance Intact, Power Sharing Ruled Out
Ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the ruling DMK has drawn a clear political line: the alliance with the Congress will continue, but cabinet positions are off the table.
Sources say the MK Stalin-led DMK has firmly conveyed that it will not offer any ministerial berth to the Congress, even as it reaffirmed its commitment to the alliance. The development follows a meeting between former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and senior DMK leader Kanimozhi at 10 Janpath in New Delhi, where no breakthrough was achieved on seat-sharing.
A senior DMK source summed it up succinctly: “The final takeaway is a firm ‘no’ to Congress for ministerial posts and a strong ‘yes’ to continuing the alliance.”
During the discussions, Rahul Gandhi reportedly stressed the need for mutual respect and urged the DMK to coordinate with the Congress leadership under party chief Mallikarjun Kharge to resolve seat-sharing differences. However, DMK remains unwilling to increase Congress’s seat share beyond what it was in the 2021 elections, when the party contested 25 of 234 seats and won 18.
While some Congress leaders in Tamil Nadu have floated alternative political options — including a possible understanding with actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) — the party’s central leadership appears keen on sticking with the DMK.
According to Alif News, this episode reflects a familiar dynamic in coalition politics: unity at the ballot box, but caution in sharing power. With elections likely in April or May, sources believe the seat-sharing impasse will eventually be resolved, even if the hierarchy within the alliance remains firmly defined.
