دیسیہ مرپوکو دراوڑ کژگم (DMDK) کی جنرل سیکریٹری Premallatha Vijayakant نے واضح انداز میں اعلان کیا ہے کہ تمل ناڈو میں کوئی بھی سیاسی اتحاد ڈی ایم ڈی کے کی حمایت کے بغیر حکومت قائم نہیں کر سکتا۔
کڈلور ضلع کے ویپور کے قریب منعقدہ مکّل اُرِمائی میٹپو ماناڈو 2.0 سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہا کہ اتحاد سے متعلق فیصلہ پارٹی کارکنوں اور ضلعی سیکریٹریز کی مشاورت سے کیا جا چکا ہے، اور وہ خود اس اتحاد کا حتمی فیصلہ لے چکی ہیں۔
ان کا کہنا تھا کہ ڈی ایم ڈی کے ذات، مذہب اور زبان کی تفریق سے بالاتر ایک عوامی تحریک ہے، اور جس اتحاد میں یہ پارٹی شامل ہوگی، فتح اسی کا مقدر بنے گی۔
اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے ڈی ایم ڈی کے یوتھ وِنگ کے رہنما Vijay Prabhakaran نے کہا کہ ریاست کی دونوں بڑی سیاسی جماعتوں کو اقتدار کے لیے ڈی ایم ڈی کے کی حمایت درکار ہے، اور پارٹی جس اتحاد میں شامل ہوگی وہ ایک “میگا الائنس” بن جائے گا۔
انہوں نے پارٹی کے بانی اور سابق اداکار و عوامی رہنما Vijayakant کو خراجِ عقیدت پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ڈی ایم ڈی کے محض ایک سیاسی جماعت نہیں بلکہ ایک خاندانی وراثت ہے، جس نے عوامی خدمت کو نئی جہت دی۔
وجئے پرابھاکرن نے دعویٰ کیا کہ انہوں نے ووٹوں کے اعتبار سے نائب وزیر اعلیٰ Udhayanidhi Stalin کے برابر حمایت حاصل کی، اور نوجوان قیادت کی فہرستوں میں نام شامل نہ ہونے پر انہیں کوئی افسوس نہیں۔
انہوں نے ٹی وی کے صدر Vijay کو کانگریس اتحاد سے دور رہنے کا مشورہ دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ 2024 کے لوک سبھا انتخابات کے دوران وِردھونگر میں جو کچھ ہوا، وہ ان کے تجربے میں ہے۔

DMDK General Secretary Premallatha Vijayakant has asserted that no political formation can govern Tamil Nadu without her party’s support, reinforcing the DMDK’s claim to a decisive role in the State’s electoral landscape.
Addressing the Makkal Urimai Meetpu Maanadu 2.0 near Veppur in Cuddalore district, she stated that the alliance decision had already been taken after consultations with district secretaries and party cadres. According to her, the alliance joined by the DMDK would inevitably emerge victorious, as the party transcends caste, religion, and linguistic divisions.
DMDK youth wing leader Vijay Prabhakaran echoed these views, stating that both major political fronts in Tamil Nadu require the DMDK’s backing, and whichever alliance the party joins would become a “mega alliance.”
He described the DMDK as not merely a political outfit but a legacy founded by the late Vijayakant, rooted in public service and people-centric politics.
Claiming to have secured votes comparable to Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, Prabhakaran said he had no regrets about being excluded from lists of emerging youth leaders.
He also cautioned TVK president Vijay against aligning with the Congress-led alliance, citing his experiences during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Virudhunagar.
