سی جے پی کا احتجاج بدستور جاری

تعلیمی نظام میں مبینہ بے ضابطگیوں، خصوصاً نیٹ (NEET) امتحان کے پرچہ افشا ہونے کے معاملے پر جاری ملک گیر احتجاج میں ایک اہم پیش رفت اس وقت سامنے آئی جب سماجی کارکن سونم وانگچک نے 26 روزہ بھوک ہڑتال ختم کر دی۔

لیہ اپیکس باڈی کے شریک کنوینر چرنگ دورجے لکروک کے مطابق سونم وانگچک نے مرکزی وزراء جے پی نڈا اور ڈاکٹر جتیندر سنگھ کی موجودگی میں اپنی بھوک ہڑتال اس وقت ختم کی جب حکومت نے بعض مطالبات پر تحریری یقین دہانی کرائی۔

تحریری یقین دہانی کے مطابق اگر طلبہ پر تشدد میں ملوث ہونے کا الزام ثابت نہ ہوا تو ان کے خلاف درج مقدمات واپس لینے پر غور کیا جائے گا۔ حکومت نے یہ بھی کہا ہے کہ نیٹ امتحان سے متعلق بحران کے باعث جان گنوانے والے امیدواروں کے اہلِ خانہ کو معاوضہ دینے کے معاملے پر بھی غور کیا جائے گا۔

ادھر وزیر اعظم نریندر مودی نے امتحانی پرچوں کے افشا کے واقعات کو سنگین ناانصافی قرار دیتے ہوئے اعلان کیا کہ ایسے مقدمات کے فوری فیصلے کے لیے فاسٹ ٹریک عدالتیں قائم کی جائیں گی۔ دہلی ہائی کورٹ نے بھی امتحانی بے ضابطگیوں سے متعلق مقدمات کی سماعت کے لیے خصوصی عدالت مقرر کر دی ہے۔

دوسری جانب کاکروچ جنتا پارٹی (CJP) کے بانی ابھیجیت ڈپکے نے سونم وانگچک کی بھوک ہڑتال ختم ہونے پر اطمینان کا اظہار کیا، تاہم واضح کیا کہ جنتر منتر پر جاری احتجاج اس وقت تک ختم نہیں ہوگا جب تک مرکزی وزیر تعلیم دھرمیندر پردھان استعفیٰ نہیں دیتے۔

اس دوران حکومت اور سی جے پی کے درمیان مذاکرات کی ایک نئی کوشش بھی سامنے آئی ہے۔ حکومتی ذرائع کے مطابق دونوں فریقوں کے درمیان آج ملاقات متوقع ہے، تاہم احتجاجی قیادت کی جانب سے اس بارے میں ابھی کوئی باضابطہ اعلان نہیں کیا گیا۔

گزشتہ چند روز سے جاری اس تحریک نے ملک بھر میں طلبہ، سماجی کارکنوں، مختلف سیاسی جماعتوں اور متعدد عوامی شخصیات کی توجہ اپنی جانب مبذول کر رکھی ہے، جبکہ امتحانی نظام میں شفافیت، طلبہ کے تحفظ اور احتساب کے مطالبات اب قومی بحث کا اہم موضوع بن چکے ہیں۔

Sonam Wangchuk Ends 26-Day Fast, But CJP Vows to Continue Protest

New Delhi, July 24:
A significant development has emerged in the nationwide student movement over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination, as social activist Sonam Wangchuk has ended his 26-day hunger strike following written assurances from the Central government.

According to Cherring Dorjay Lakruk, Co-convenor of the Leh Apex Body, Wangchuk broke his fast in the presence of Union Ministers J.P. Nadda and Dr. Jitendra Singh after the government agreed to a set of key commitments.

The written assurances reportedly state that criminal cases against students will be withdrawn if they are found not to have engaged in violence. The government has also agreed to consider compensation for the families of NEET aspirants who lost their lives during the ongoing crisis.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi described examination paper leaks as a grave injustice to millions of students and announced the establishment of fast-track courts to ensure the swift prosecution of those responsible. In a related move, the Delhi High Court has designated a special court to hear criminal cases arising from examination paper leaks and other unfair practices.

Despite Wangchuk’s decision to end his fast, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has made it clear that the protest at Jantar Mantar will continue. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke welcomed the end of Wangchuk’s fast but reaffirmed that the movement would not be called off until Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns.

Government sources have indicated that a fresh round of talks between Union Ministers and CJP representatives is expected today, although the protest leadership has yet to formally confirm its participation.

Over the past several weeks, the movement has evolved into one of the country’s most prominent youth-led campaigns, drawing support from students, civil society groups, public figures, and political leaders. The demands for transparency, accountability, and fairness in India’s examination system continue to dominate the national conversation, even as the government signals a willingness to engage with the protesters.
