ممبئی: طلبہ کی گرفتاری روکنے والی رِھیا آہیر احتجاج کی علامت بن گئی

ممبئی: تعلیمی امتحانات میں مبینہ بے ضابطگیوں کے خلاف جاری طلبہ احتجاج کے دوران ممبئی میں ایک نوجوان لڑکی کی جرات مندانہ کارروائی نے عوامی توجہ حاصل کر لی۔ 27 سالہ رِھیا آہیر اس وقت پولیس کی گاڑی کے سامنے کھڑی ہو گئیں جب مبینہ طور پر گرفتار طلبہ کو وہاں سے منتقل کیا جا رہا تھا۔

رِھیا آہیر کے مطابق انہوں نے پولیس اہلکاروں سے پوچھا کہ آیا طلبہ کی گرفتاری کے لیے قانونی دستاویزات موجود ہیں یا نہیں۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ انہیں کوئی واضح جواب نہیں ملا، جس کے بعد انہوں نے بطور باشعور شہری گاڑی کے سامنے کھڑے ہو کر احتجاج کرنے کا فیصلہ کیا۔ اس دوران انہوں نے طلبہ کے حق میں اور وزیرِ تعلیم دھرمیندر پردھان کے استعفے کے مطالبے میں نعرے بھی لگائے۔

رِھیا آہیر نے شہریوں پر زور دیا کہ احتجاج میں شرکت کرنے سے پہلے اپنے قانونی حقوق سے آگاہی حاصل کریں۔ ان کے بقول موبائل فون سے واقعات کی ویڈیو ریکارڈ کرنا بھی اہم ہے تاکہ کسی بھی کارروائی کا ثبوت محفوظ رہے۔

یہ واقعہ اس وقت پیش آیا جب ملک کے مختلف حصوں میں طلبہ تنظیمیں مبینہ امتحانی بے ضابطگیوں کے خلاف احتجاج کر رہی ہیں اور حکومت سے شفاف تحقیقات اور جوابدہی کا مطالبہ کیا جا رہا ہے۔

Mumbai: A young woman has become one of the most recognisable faces of the ongoing student protests against alleged examination irregularities after she stood in front of a police vehicle carrying detained demonstrators in Mumbai.

Twenty-seven-year-old Rhiya Ahir said she questioned police officers about the legal basis for detaining the students and asked whether the required arrest documents had been prepared. According to her, she did not receive a satisfactory response, prompting her to block the vehicle in what she described as an act of civic responsibility.

During the standoff, Ahir raised slogans in support of the students and reiterated demands for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. She also urged citizens to be aware of their legal rights before participating in public demonstrations and highlighted the importance of recording such incidents on mobile phones as evidence.

The incident comes amid continuing student-led protests across several parts of India, where demonstrators are demanding accountability and a transparent investigation into alleged examination irregularities.
