غربت کی وجہ سے کسی اہل ووٹر کا نام انتخابی فہرست سے خارج نہیں ہونا چاہیے: اسدالدین اویسی

حیدرآباد سے رکنِ پارلیمان اور آل انڈیا مجلس اتحاد المسلمین کے صدر اسدالدین اویسی نے کہا ہے کہ صرف غربت یا مطلوبہ دستاویزات کی عدم دستیابی کی بنیاد پر کسی بھی حقیقی ووٹر کو حتمی انتخابی فہرست سے خارج کرنا ناقابلِ قبول ہے، خواہ اس کا تعلق کسی بھی مذہب سے ہو۔

دارالسلام میں پارٹی کے ایک پروگرام سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہا کہ پارٹی نے وکلا کی ایک خصوصی ٹیم تشکیل دی ہے جو خصوصی نظرِ ثانی (SIR) کے دوران نوٹس موصول ہونے والے شہریوں کو قانونی معاونت فراہم کرے گی۔ انہوں نے عوام سے اپیل کی کہ وہ مقررہ مدت کے اندر اپنے فارم متعلقہ بوتھ لیول افسران (BLOs) کے پاس ضرور جمع کرائیں۔

اویسی نے مطالبہ کیا کہ تلنگانہ حکومت مستقل رہائشی یا شہریت سے متعلق مناسب سرٹیفکیٹس جاری کرنے پر غور کرے تاکہ اہل شہری محض دستاویزات کی کمی کے باعث اپنے حقِ رائے دہی سے محروم نہ ہوں۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ اگر حقیقی ووٹروں کے نام فہرست سے خارج کیے گئے تو اس کے سنگین نتائج برآمد ہو سکتے ہیں، کیونکہ بعد کے مراحل میں شہریت سے متعلق سوالات بھی اٹھائے جا سکتے ہیں۔

اپنی تقریر میں انہوں نے ملک کے مختلف حصوں میں مساجد کی مسماری، مدارس کی بندش اور بعض مجوزہ انسدادِ انتہاپسندی اقدامات پر بھی تشویش ظاہر کی۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ مذہبی عبادات کو انتہاپسندی سے جوڑنے کے بجائے نفرت انگیز جرائم اور ہجومی تشدد میں ملوث عناصر کے خلاف کارروائی ہونی چاہیے۔

انہوں نے تلنگانہ میں بارش کی کمی کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے اعلان کیا کہ بارش کی دعا (نمازِ استسقاء) 26 جولائی کو عیدگاہ بلالی، حیدرآباد میں ادا کی جائے گی۔

No Genuine Voter Should Be Excluded Due to Poverty: Asaduddin Owaisi

AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has said that no genuine voter should be excluded from the final electoral roll merely because of poverty or the lack of required documents, regardless of the person’s religion.

Addressing a gathering at Darussalaam in Hyderabad, Owaisi announced that the AIMIM has constituted a team of lawyers to assist people who receive notices during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He urged eligible voters to complete the enrolment process and submit their forms to Booth Level Officers before the prescribed deadline.

Owaisi also appealed to the Telangana government to consider issuing permanent residence or related certificates so that eligible citizens are not deprived of their voting rights due to documentation issues. He warned that excluding genuine voters from the electoral rolls could have serious consequences if citizenship-related proceedings were initiated later.

The AIMIM chief further expressed concern over reports of mosque demolitions, madrasa closures, and proposed anti-radicalisation measures, arguing that ordinary religious practices should not be portrayed as signs of radicalisation. He said those involved in hate crimes and mob violence should instead be held accountable.

Referring to the rainfall deficit in Telangana, Owaisi announced that Namaz-e-Istisqa (special prayer for rain) would be offered at Eidgah Bilali in Hyderabad on July 26.
