واشنگٹن: امریکی صدر ڈونلڈ ٹرمپ نے ایران کے حوالے سے ایک بار پھر سخت مؤقف اختیار کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ امریکہ "یا تو معاہدہ کرے گا، یا پھر اپنا کام مکمل کرے گا۔” ان کا کہنا تھا کہ وہ جنگ کے بجائے سفارت کاری کو ترجیح دیتے ہیں، لیکن ایران کو جوہری ہتھیار حاصل کرنے کی ہرگز اجازت نہیں دی جائے گی۔

وائٹ ہاؤس میں صحافیوں سے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے ٹرمپ نے کہا کہ وہ ایران کے تقریباً 91 ملین عوام کو نقصان پہنچانا نہیں چاہتے، اسی لیے وہ معاہدے کو بہتر راستہ سمجھتے ہیں۔ تاہم انہوں نے یہ بھی دعویٰ کیا کہ امریکہ ایران کے افزودہ جوہری مواد ("نیوکلیئر ڈسٹ”) کے معاملے کو یقینی بنائے گا تاکہ مستقبل میں جوہری ہتھیاروں کی تیاری ممکن نہ ہو۔

ٹرمپ نے واضح کیا کہ ان کی حکومت ایران میں نظامِ حکومت کی تبدیلی کی خواہاں نہیں ہے، بلکہ اس کا مقصد صرف جوہری ہتھیاروں کے خطرے کو ختم کرنا ہے۔

یہ بیان ایسے وقت سامنے آیا ہے جب ایران میں سپریم لیڈر آیت اللہ علی خامنہ ای کی آخری رسومات کے بعد خطے کی صورتحال پر عالمی توجہ مرکوز ہے۔ اس سے قبل بھی ٹرمپ نے کہا تھا کہ ایرانی قیادت کے اجتماع کو فوجی کارروائی کے موقع کے طور پر دیکھا جا سکتا تھا، لیکن جاری سفارتی کوششوں کے باعث ایسا نہیں کیا گیا۔
