تاریخ کی سب سے بڑی تباہیاں اس وقت جنم نہیں لیتیں جب بم گرتے ہیں، بلکہ اس وقت جنم لیتی ہیں جب انسان کا دل خاموش ہو جاتا ہے۔

آج دنیا ترقی کی بلند ترین چوٹیوں پر کھڑی ہے۔ مصنوعی ذہانت انسان کے سوالوں کے جواب دے رہی ہے، خلاؤں میں بستیاں بسانے کے خواب دیکھے جا رہے ہیں، سائنس نئی نئی حیرتیں تخلیق کر رہی ہے، لیکن ایک سوال آج بھی جواب مانگ رہا ہے: کیا انسان واقعی انسان بن سکا؟

زمین کے مختلف گوشوں میں بچے ملبے کے نیچے دبے ہیں، مائیں اپنے جگر کے ٹکڑوں کو کفن بھی نصیب نہ ہونے پر آنسو بہا رہی ہیں، لاکھوں لوگ بھوک، جنگ، نفرت اور بے گھری کا شکار ہیں۔ لیکن دنیا کا ایک بڑا حصہ ان مناظر کو صرف موبائل کی اسکرین پر دیکھتا ہے، چند لمحے افسوس کرتا ہے اور پھر اگلی خبر پر چلا جاتا ہے۔

یہ صرف جنگوں کا المیہ نہیں، یہ ضمیر کی موت کا المیہ ہے۔

جب انسان کی جان کی قیمت اس کے مذہب، قوم، رنگ، زبان یا پاسپورٹ سے طے ہونے لگے تو سمجھ لیجیے کہ تہذیب کی عمارت اندر سے کھوکھلی ہو چکی ہے۔ ظلم کبھی صرف گولی چلانے والا نہیں کرتا؛ ظلم وہ بھی کرتا ہے جو طاقت رکھتے ہوئے خاموش رہتا ہے، جو سچ جانتے ہوئے مصلحت کا لباس پہن لیتا ہے، اور جو انصاف کو اپنے مفاد کے ترازو میں تولتا ہے۔

آج دنیا کو نئے ہتھیاروں سے زیادہ نئے ضمیر کی ضرورت ہے۔ ہمیں ایسی سیاست چاہیے جو انسان کو ووٹ نہیں بلکہ زندگی سمجھے، ایسی معیشت چاہیے جس میں منافع سے پہلے بھوکے انسان کا حق ہو، اور ایسا معاشرہ چاہیے جہاں کسی بچے کی چیخ سرحدوں میں تقسیم نہ ہو۔

اگر ہم نے آج بھی انسان کو انسان نہ سمجھا تو آنے والی نسلیں ہم سے پوچھیں گی کہ جب انسانیت زخمی تھی، تم کس طرف کھڑے تھے؟

آئیے، آج اپنے اپنے دلوں میں ایک چھوٹا سا انقلاب برپا کریں۔ نفرت کے بجائے محبت، انتقام کے بجائے انصاف، تعصب کے بجائے احترام، اور خاموشی کے بجائے حق کی آواز کو جگہ دیں۔

یاد رکھیے! قومیں صرف ایٹمی طاقت سے نہیں، زندہ ضمیر سے عظیم بنتی ہیں۔ اور انسانیت صرف اس وقت زندہ رہتی ہے جب ایک اجنبی کا درد بھی اپنا محسوس ہونے لگے۔

آج سب سے بڑا سوال یہ نہیں کہ دنیا کہاں جا رہی ہے، بلکہ یہ ہے کہ ہمارے دل کہاں جا رہے ہیں۔

When Humanity Falls Silent

The greatest tragedies in history do not begin when bombs fall. They begin when the human heart falls silent.

Today, humanity stands at the peak of scientific achievement. Artificial intelligence answers our questions, space missions dream of new worlds, and technology transforms every aspect of life. Yet one question remains unanswered: Have we truly learned to be human?

Across the world, children lie beneath the rubble, mothers grieve over sons and daughters who never received a proper farewell, and millions are displaced by war, hunger, hatred, and fear. For many, these scenes have become just another image on a screen—watched for a moment, forgotten the next.

This is not merely the tragedy of war; it is the tragedy of a sleeping conscience.

The moment a person’s life is valued according to religion, nationality, ethnicity, language, or passport, civilization begins to lose its soul. Injustice is not committed only by those who pull the trigger. It is also committed by those who remain silent despite having the power to speak, by those who know the truth but choose convenience over courage, and by those who weigh justice against political interest.

The world today needs a new conscience more than it needs new weapons. We need politics that values human lives more than votes, economies that place hungry people before profit, and societies where the cry of a child is not divided by borders.

If we continue to ignore our shared humanity, future generations will ask us a painful question: When humanity was bleeding, where were you standing?

Let us begin a quiet revolution within ourselves—choosing compassion over hatred, justice over revenge, dignity over prejudice, and moral courage over comfortable silence.

Nations are not made great by military power alone. They become great through the strength of their conscience. Humanity survives only when the pain of a stranger feels like our own.

The greatest question of our time is not where the world is heading, but where our hearts are heading.
