تمل ناڈو کے وزیرِ تعلیمِ عالیہ، P. Viswanathan نے سرکاری کالجوں میں داخلوں کے عمل کو مکمل طور پر شفاف، منظم اور طلبہ دوست بنانے کی ہدایت دی ہے۔ انہوں نے تعلیمی سال 2026-27 کے لیے سرکاری انجینئرنگ، آرٹس اور سائنس کالجوں میں داخلوں کے جائزہ اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ حکومت کا بنیادی مقصد یہ ہے کہ دیہی علاقوں کا کوئی بھی اہل اور مستحق طالب علم نشستوں کی کمی یا انتظامی رکاوٹوں کی وجہ سے اعلیٰ تعلیم سے محروم نہ رہے۔

وزیر نے کہا کہ انجینئرنگ اور تکنیکی تعلیم کے اداروں میں زیادہ سے زیادہ طلبہ کو داخلے فراہم کرنا حکومت کی ترجیحات میں شامل ہے۔ انہوں نے واضح کیا کہ تمل ناڈو میں کالج داخلوں کے عمل میں کسی قسم کی بے ضابطگی یا مالی لین دین برداشت نہیں کیا جائے گا اور محکمۂ تعلیمِ عالیہ مکمل شفافیت، دیانت داری اور جواب دہی کے ساتھ کام کرے گا۔

انہوں نے بتایا کہ مصنوعی ذہانت (Artificial Intelligence) سمیت ابھرتی ہوئی جدید ٹیکنالوجیز کے لیے نئے مراکز قائم کیے گئے ہیں اور ان میں اعلیٰ صلاحیت کے حامل اساتذہ کا تقرر کیا گیا ہے تاکہ نوجوانوں کو مستقبل کی ضروریات سے ہم آہنگ تعلیم فراہم کی جا سکے۔

وزیرِ تعلیمِ عالیہ نے اس بات پر بھی زور دیا کہ حکومت طلبہ کی ملازمت پذیری (Employability) بڑھانے کے لیے صنعتوں سے مربوط پروگراموں اور مہارت افزائی کی مختلف اسکیموں پر توجہ دے رہی ہے تاکہ تعلیم مکمل کرنے کے بعد نوجوانوں کو بہتر روزگار کے مواقع حاصل ہوں۔

جامعات میں وائس چانسلرز کی تقرری کے حوالے سے انہوں نے کہا کہ وزیراعلیٰ سے مشاورت کے بعد جلد مناسب فیصلے کیے جائیں گے اور اعلیٰ تعلیم سے متعلق تمام زیر التوا امور کو مقررہ مدت میں حل کرنے کی کوشش کی جائے گی۔

No Deserving Rural Student Will Be Denied Higher Education: Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister

Chennai, June 1, 2026:
Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister P. Viswanathan has directed officials to ensure that admissions to government colleges remain transparent, streamlined, and student-friendly. Chairing a review meeting on admissions to Government Engineering Colleges and Government Arts and Science Colleges for the 2026–27 academic year, he emphasized that no deserving student, particularly from rural areas, should be deprived of higher education due to a shortage of seats or administrative hurdles.

The minister stated that expanding access to engineering and technical education remains one of the government’s key priorities. He firmly asserted that there would be no room for irregularities or monetary transactions in the admission process and that the Higher Education Department would function with transparency, integrity, and accountability.

Highlighting future-oriented educational reforms, he noted that new centres focusing on emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, have been established and staffed with highly qualified faculty members to prepare students for evolving industry demands.

Viswanathan also stressed the importance of employability, saying that the government is promoting industry-linked initiatives and skill-development programmes to ensure that graduates are better equipped to secure meaningful employment.

Regarding the appointment of Vice-Chancellors, he said consultations with the Chief Minister would be held and suitable appointments would be made at the earliest. He added that all pending higher education issues would be addressed promptly and resolved within a defined timeframe.
