امتحان گاہوں سے اُٹھتی بے یقینی کی دھول

نئی دہلی — ملک میں نیٹ (NEET) امتحان سے جڑی مبینہ بے ضابطگیوں اور پیپر لیک کے تنازعے نے طلبہ کے اضطراب کو ایک بار پھر سڑکوں پر لا کھڑا کیا۔ ہفتہ 16 مئی کو National Students’ Union of India کے کارکنوں اور نیٹ امیدواروں نے نیشنل ٹیسٹنگ ایجنسی کے ہیڈکوارٹر کے باہر احتجاج کرتے ہوئے امتحانی نظام میں شفافیت، انصاف اور جوابدہی کا مطالبہ کیا۔

"این ٹی اے ہلا بول” کے عنوان سے ہونے والے اس احتجاج کی قیادت تنظیم کے قومی صدر Vinod Jakhar نے کی۔ مظاہرین نے الزام عائد کیا کہ بار بار ہونے والے پیپر لیک، امتحانات کی منسوخی اور انتظامی ناکامیوں نے لاکھوں طلبہ کے خوابوں کو بے یقینی اور خوف کی دھند میں دھکیل دیا ہے۔

احتجاج کے دوران طلبہ نے نیشنل ٹیسٹنگ ایجنسی اور مرکزی حکومت کے خلاف نعرے بلند کیے اور کہا کہ امتحانی نظام پر سے اعتماد متزلزل ہو چکا ہے۔ تنظیم نے دعویٰ کیا کہ امتحانی دباؤ اور حالیہ تنازعات کے سبب تین طلبہ نے مبینہ طور پر خودکشی کی، جس نے پورے تعلیمی ماحول کو سوگ اور تشویش میں مبتلا کر دیا ہے۔

اپنے خطاب میں ونود جاکھر نے کہا کہ ایک ایسے ملک میں جہاں نوجوان اپنے مستقبل کے لیے برسوں محنت کرتے ہیں، وہاں امتحانی بدانتظامی صرف انتظامی ناکامی نہیں بلکہ ایک نسل کے خوابوں سے بے وفائی ہے۔

احتجاج کرنے والے طلبہ نے مطالبہ کیا کہ نیٹ معاملے کی منصفانہ اور وقت مقررہ کے اندر تحقیقات کی جائیں، قصورواروں کے خلاف سخت کارروائی ہو، اور طلبہ کے اعتماد کو بحال کرنے کے لیے امتحانی نظام میں بنیادی اصلاحات نافذ کی جائیں۔

سیاسی اور تعلیمی مبصرین کے مطابق یہ احتجاج محض ایک امتحان کے خلاف ردِعمل نہیں بلکہ اس بے چینی کی علامت ہے جو ملک کے نوجوان اپنے مستقبل، انصاف اور مواقع کے حوالے سے محسوس کر رہے ہیں۔

Dust of Uncertainty Rising from India’s Examination Halls

New Delhi — Allegations of irregularities and paper leaks in the NEET examination process once again pushed anxious students onto the streets as members of the National Students’ Union of India staged a protest outside the National Testing Agency headquarters on Saturday, demanding transparency, accountability, and fairness in the country’s examination system.

The demonstration, organised under the banner “NTA Halla Bol,” was led by the student organisation’s national president Vinod Jakhar. Protesters alleged that repeated paper leaks, exam cancellations, and administrative failures had thrown the dreams of millions of aspirants into uncertainty and fear.

Raising slogans against the NTA and the Central government, students claimed that public trust in the examination system had been deeply shaken. The organisation further alleged that the pressure and distress surrounding the controversy had reportedly driven three students to suicide, casting a shadow of grief across the educational landscape.

Addressing the gathering, Vinod Jakhar said that in a country where young people spend years preparing for competitive examinations, such administrative failures amount not merely to negligence, but to a betrayal of an entire generation’s aspirations.

The protesters demanded a fair and time-bound investigation into the alleged NEET scam, strict punishment for those responsible, and structural reforms aimed at restoring credibility to the examination system.

Political and educational observers believe that the protest represents more than outrage over a single examination. It reflects a growing unease among India’s youth regarding their future, institutional trust, and the shrinking certainty of opportunity.
