اقتدار کی پہلی آزمائش میں کامیابی

تمل ناڈو کی سیاست نے ایک اور تاریخی موڑ لے لیا جب وزیر اعلیٰ سی۔ جوزف وجے کی قیادت والی Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) حکومت نے اسمبلی میں اعتماد کا ووٹ حاصل کرلیا۔ 144 اراکین نے حکومت کے حق میں ووٹ دیا، جبکہ 22 اراکین نے مخالفت کی اور پانچ نے رائے شماری سے خود کو الگ رکھا۔

اسمبلی کی کارروائی اس وقت غیر معمولی سیاسی کشیدگی کا منظر پیش کرنے لگی جب اپوزیشن لیڈر Udhayanidhi Stalin نے اپنی تقریر کے بعد DMK اراکین کے ساتھ ایوان سے واک آؤٹ کردیا۔ انہوں نے وزیر اعلیٰ وجے پر AIADMK کے باغی اراکین سے ملاقات کا الزام لگاتے ہوئے طنزیہ انداز میں سوال کیا کہ یہ “تبدیلی” ہے یا “سودا بازی”۔

دوسری جانب AIADMK کے باغی دھڑے کے رہنما S. P. Velumani نے اپنی جماعت کے باغی اراکین کے ساتھ حکومت کے حق میں ووٹ دے کر سیاسی منظرنامے کو مزید دلچسپ بنا دیا۔ اس اقدام پر ایوان میں ہنگامہ آرائی بھی دیکھنے میں آئی، جبکہ AIADMK کے سربراہ Edappadi K. Palaniswami نے اس فیصلے پر سخت ناراضی ظاہر کی۔

وزیراعلیٰ C. Joseph Vijay نے اپنی تقریر میں کہا کہ ان کی حکومت “گھوڑوں کی تجارت” نہیں بلکہ “گھوڑے کی رفتار” سے کام کرے گی۔ انہوں نے یقین دلایا کہ سابق حکومت کی عوامی فلاحی اسکیمیں جاری رکھی جائیں گی اور ان کی حکومت سیکولر اصولوں پر قائم رہے گی۔

اعتماد کے ووٹ کے دوران NEET امتحان کی منسوخی، ماہی گیروں کی گرفتاریوں، فلاحی اسکیموں کے تسلسل، اور حکومت میں ایک نجومی کی تقرری جیسے موضوعات بھی شدت سے زیر بحث آئے۔ کچھ جماعتوں نے حکومت کی حمایت کی، کچھ نے مخالفت، جبکہ BJP اور PMK نے غیر جانبداری اختیار کی۔

یہ اعتماد کا ووٹ صرف اعداد و شمار کی کامیابی نہیں بلکہ تمل ناڈو کی بدلتی ہوئی سیاست، دراوڑی جماعتوں کی اندرونی کشمکش، اور فلمی مقبولیت سے سیاسی اقتدار تک کے سفر کی ایک نئی تعبیر بھی سمجھا جا رہا ہے۔

Chief Minister Vijay’s Government Wins Trust Vote in Tamil Nadu Assembly

Tamil Nadu witnessed another dramatic political moment as Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay successfully won the confidence motion on the floor of the Assembly. The Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK)-led government secured 144 votes in favour, while 22 members opposed the motion and five abstained.

The Assembly session turned politically charged when Opposition leader Udhayanidhi Stalin led a walkout by DMK legislators after sharply criticising the new government. He questioned Vijay’s outreach to rebel AIADMK legislators and remarked whether the promised “change” had turned into a mere “exchange.”

Adding further drama to the proceedings, rebel AIADMK leader S. P. Velumani and his faction voted in support of the TVK government, triggering uproar inside the House. AIADMK chief Edappadi K. Palaniswami condemned the move and accused the Speaker of violating Assembly conventions.

During his reply to the confidence motion, Vijay declared that his administration would function “with the speed of a horse, not through horse-trading.” He also assured that welfare schemes introduced by previous governments would continue and reaffirmed his commitment to secular governance.

The debate around the trust vote also saw discussions on the cancellation of the NEET examination, welfare schemes, fishermen’s issues, and controversy surrounding the appointment of an astrologer as Officer on Special Duty to the Chief Minister.

More than a numerical victory, the trust vote symbolised the rapidly shifting political landscape of Tamil Nadu — a State witnessing ideological realignments, fractures within Dravidian politics, and the transformation of cinematic popularity into political authority.
