مغربی بنگال میں سیاسی بحران گہرا ہوگیا; ممتا بنرجی پہنچی عدالت
Mamata Banerjee نے مغربی بنگال اسمبلی انتخابات کے نتائج کو تسلیم کرنے سے انکار کرتے ہوئے اعلان کیا ہے کہ ان کی جماعت Trinamool Congress عدالت سے رجوع کرے گی۔ انہوں نے الزام عائد کیا کہ بھارتیہ جنتا پارٹی اور الیکشن کمیشن نے ای وی ایم میں مبینہ چھیڑ چھاڑ اور تشدد کے ذریعے عوامی مینڈیٹ “چوری” کیا ہے۔
ادھر R N Ravi کو ریاستی چیف الیکٹورل آفیسر نے انتخابی نتائج کا گزٹ نوٹیفکیشن پیش کر دیا، جس کے بعد حکومت سازی کے لیے راستہ صاف ہو گیا۔ Bharatiya Janata Party نے انتخابات میں بھاری اکثریت حاصل کی ہے اور توقع ہے کہ جلد نئی حکومت قائم کر دی جائے گی۔
آئینِ ہند کے آرٹیکل 172 کے مطابق مغربی بنگال اسمبلی کی آئینی مدت 6 مئی کی نصف شب کو ختم ہو چکی ہے، جس کے بعد موجودہ حکومت صرف نگراں حیثیت میں کام کر سکتی ہے۔ ذرائع کے مطابق گورنر چاہیں تو مختصر مدت کے لیے صدر راج نافذ کر سکتے ہیں یا نئی اکثریتی جماعت کو حکومت بنانے کی دعوت دے سکتے ہیں۔
Amit Shah کی نگرانی میں بی جے پی اپنے مقننہ لیڈر کے انتخاب کی تیاری کر رہی ہے، جبکہ حلف برداری کی تقریب ہفتہ کو متوقع بتائی جا رہی ہے۔
دوسری جانب ممتا بنرجی نے اپنی رہائش گاہ کلی گھاٹ میں پارٹی کے نو منتخب اراکین اسمبلی کا اجلاس طلب کیا، جہاں انہوں نے مبینہ انتخابی بے ضابطگیوں، ای وی ایم میں مداخلت اور انتخابی تشدد کے خلاف سپریم کورٹ جانے کا اعلان کیا۔
Abhishek Banerjee نے بھی کہا کہ پارٹی عدالت سے رجوع کرے گی اور اگر پولیس شکایات درج نہ کرے تو کارکن آن لائن شکایات جمع کروائیں۔
سیاسی مبصرین کے مطابق مغربی بنگال میں اقتدار کی یہ تبدیلی نہ صرف ریاست بلکہ قومی سیاست کے لیے بھی ایک نئے دور کا آغاز ثابت ہو سکتی ہے، جبکہ ریاست میں کشیدگی اور بعد از انتخاب تشدد کے خدشات بدستور موجود ہیں۔

Political Crisis Deepens in West Bengal as Mamata Refuses to Resign
Mamata Banerjee has refused to accept the results of the West Bengal Assembly elections, alleging that the mandate was “stolen” through alleged EVM manipulation and violence. Her party, Trinamool Congress, announced that it would move court against the election outcome.
Meanwhile, the State Chief Electoral Officer submitted the official gazette notification of the election results to Governor R N Ravi, formally paving the way for Bharatiya Janata Party to form the next government after securing a landslide victory.
Under Article 172 of the Indian Constitution, the term of the West Bengal Assembly expired at midnight on May 6, allowing the outgoing government to continue only in a caretaker capacity until a new administration is sworn in. Constitutional experts say the Governor may either invite the largest party to form the government or impose President’s Rule temporarily if required.
Sources indicate that the BJP leadership is preparing to elect its legislature party leader under the supervision of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, while the swearing-in ceremony is expected later this week.
At a meeting with newly elected MLAs at her Kalighat residence, Mamata Banerjee reportedly reiterated that the party would approach the Supreme Court over allegations of electoral manipulation, violence, and vote tampering.
Abhishek Banerjee stated that the party would legally challenge the results and urged workers to file online complaints if police refused to register cases related to post-poll violence.
Political observers believe the dramatic power shift in West Bengal could mark the beginning of a major new phase in Indian politics, even as tensions and fears of post-election unrest continue across the state.
