تمل ناڈو کی سیاست نے ایک غیر متوقع موڑ لیا ہے—ایک ایسا موڑ جہاں روایت کی مضبوط دیواروں میں پہلی بار دراڑ محسوس کی جا رہی ہے۔ فلمی دنیا سے سیاست میں قدم رکھنے والے جوزف وجئے کی جماعت Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam نے اپنی پہلی ہی انتخابی آزمائش میں 108 نشستیں حاصل کر کے خود کو سب سے بڑی قوت کے طور پر منوا لیا، مگر اکثریت کی منزل (118 نشستیں) ابھی چند قدم دور ہے۔

اب یہ سیاسی سفر ایک نئے مرحلے میں داخل ہو چکا ہے—مذاکرات کا مرحلہ۔ ذرائع کے مطابق ٹی وی کے قائد کانگریس، بائیں بازو کی جماعتوں اور دیگر چھوٹی سیاسی قوتوں سے رابطے کے خواہاں ہیں تاکہ ایک مشترکہ حکومت کی تشکیل ممکن بنائی جا سکے۔ ان ممکنہ اتحادیوں میں انڈین نشینل کانگریس، کمیونسٹ پارٹی آف انڈیا (مارکسسٹ)، کیمونسٹ پارٹی آف انڈیا، وڈودلائی  چروتائگل  کٹچی اور انڈین  یونین  مسلم لیگ شامل ہیں۔

یہ جماعتیں ماضی میں دڑاوڑا مُنیٹرا کڏاگم   کی قیادت میں سیکولر پروگریسو الائنس کا حصہ رہی ہیں، اس لیے ان کا کسی نئے سیاسی اتحاد کی طرف بڑھنا محض عددی نہیں بلکہ نظریاتی سوال بھی بن سکتا ہے۔

دوسری جانب کانگریس کے رہنما سسیکانت سینتھل نے محتاط لہجے میں کہا ہے کہ کوئی بھی فیصلہ اجتماعی مشاورت اور ریاستی مفاد کو سامنے رکھتے ہوئے کیا جائے گا۔ ان کے الفاظ میں سیاست محض اقتدار کا کھیل نہیں بلکہ اصولوں کی پاسداری بھی ہے۔

یہ انتخابی نتیجہ صرف نشستوں کی تقسیم نہیں بلکہ تین دہائیوں سے قائم سیاسی توازن کا انہدام بھی ہے۔ ایم. کے. اسٹالن کی قیادت میں ڈی ایم کے کو 59 نشستوں تک محدود ہونا پڑا، جبکہ آل انڈیا انا ڈی ایم کے 47 نشستوں کے ساتھ تیسرے نمبر پر رہی۔

اگر ٹی وی کے کامیابی سے اتحاد قائم کرنے میں کامیاب ہو جاتی ہے، تو یہ نہ صرف ایک نئی حکومت بلکہ ایک نئے سیاسی بیانیے کی تشکیل ہوگی—ایسا بیانیہ جو روایت سے بغاوت اور تبدیلی کی خواہش کے درمیان پل باندھتا نظر آئے گا۔

Tamil Nadu stands at a historic crossroads. The 2026 Assembly elections have not merely delivered results—they have rewritten the grammar of power. Actor-turned-politician Joseph Vijay, leading the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, has emerged as the single largest force with 108 seats—an extraordinary debut that stops just short of the majority mark.

Now begins the more delicate phase: negotiation and coalition-building. Sources indicate that TVK is preparing to open dialogue with key players including the Indian National Congress and Left parties such as Communist Party of India (Marxist) and Communist Party of India, alongside regional allies like Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi and Indian Union Muslim League.

These parties were previously aligned under the DMK-led front, making any realignment a matter not only of arithmetic but of ideological recalibration.

Congress leader Sasikanth Senthil has signaled caution, emphasizing that any decision will be collective and guided by the interests of Tamil Nadu, underscoring the party’s commitment to secular and democratic values.

Meanwhile, the electoral verdict has delivered a major setback to M. K. Stalin and the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, which secured only 59 seats. The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam trailed with 47, marking a decisive break from the decades-long Dravidian duopoly.

Should TVK succeed in forging a coalition, it will mark not just the formation of a government, but the birth of a new political narrative—one that blends disruption with aspiration, and challenges the very foundations of Tamil Nadu’s political legacy.
