نئی دہلی کی سیاسی فضا میں ایک بار پھر الزام و احتجاج کی گونج سنائی دی، جب سنجے سنگھ نے دعویٰ کیا کہ پنجاب کی سرزمین ان غداروں کو کبھی فراموش نہیں کرے گی، جو عوامی اعتماد کو سیاست کی منڈی میں نیلام کر دیتے ہیں۔
یہ بیان اس وقت سامنے آیا جب راگھو چڈھا کے عام آدمی پارٹی سے علیحدگی کی خبر نے سیاسی حلقوں میں ہلچل پیدا کی۔ سنجے سنگھ نے اس پیش رفت کو بھارتیہ جنتا پارٹی کے مبینہ "آپریشن لوٹس” سے جوڑتے ہوئے کہا کہ جمہوریت کو کمزور کرنے کی یہ روش ملک کے وفاقی ڈھانچے کے لیے خطرہ ہے۔
ان کے مطابق، اقتدار کی سیاست میں وفاداریوں کی خرید و فروخت ایک ایسا زخم ہے جو صرف جماعتوں کو نہیں بلکہ عوام کے اعتماد کو بھی مجروح کرتا ہے۔ پنجاب کے عوام، جو سیاسی شعور اور مزاحمت کی ایک طویل روایت رکھتے ہیں، اس طرح کی حرکات کو تاریخ کے آئینے میں ہمیشہ یاد رکھیں گے۔
یہ معاملہ ایک بار پھر اس سوال کو زندہ کرتا ہے کہ کیا جمہوریت محض عددی کھیل رہ گئی ہے، یا پھر اصولوں کی روشنی اب بھی اس کے راستے کو منور کرتی ہے۔

The political climate in New Delhi echoed once again with sharp आरोप and resistance as Sanjay Singh asserted that Punjab would “never forget the traitors” who, in his words, auction public trust in the marketplace of power.
His remarks came in the wake of reports that Raghav Chadha has distanced himself from the Aam Aadmi Party, a development that stirred intense debate across political circles. Singh attributed this shift to the alleged strategy of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s “Operation Lotus,” calling it a threat to democratic ethics and federal balance.
According to him, the commodification of political loyalty not only fractures parties but also erodes the very faith of the people. Punjab, a land known for its political awareness and resilience, is unlikely to forget such episodes in the annals of its history.
The episode once again raises a deeper question: has democracy been reduced to mere arithmetic, or does the light of principles still guide its path?
