This is a strange age—where fire no longer consumes cities alone, but turns human hearts into ash. The scent of gunpowder has escaped the battlefield and settled deep within the conscience of humanity. The world feels like a silent scream—filled with voices, yet devoid of listeners.
The scattered ruins of Beirut are not merely broken buildings; they are fragments of shattered belief. The smoke that blankets war-torn skies is not just the residue of explosions—it is the manifestation of a darkness we have nurtured within ourselves. Wars today are fought less with weapons and more with narratives of hatred.
Humanity has journeyed through centuries—seeking knowledge, building civilizations, reaching unimaginable heights. Yet, at every critical moment, the same tragic story repeats: power crushes truth, and interest silences morality. The real question is not why wars continue—but why peace remains so elusive.
Have we, perhaps, lost the human within us?
Have we advanced in the world, only to abandon our souls behind?
Borders drawn on maps may divide land, but they cannot divide pain. A mother’s tear does not belong to the East or the West—it belongs to humanity. Yet, this simplest truth has been made the most complicated.
It is time we stop viewing war as merely a political conflict and recognize it as a moral failure. Until humanity confronts the darkness within, no external light can truly prevail.
And yet—perhaps it is not too late.
If a single candle still flickers, if a single heart still feels, if a single eye still weeps—then hope survives.
Hope—the quiet, enduring truth that continues to breathe beneath the rubble.
