Türkiye کے وزیرِ خارجہ Hakan Fidan نے خطے میں بڑھتی ہوئی کشیدگی پر گہری تشویش کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے United States اور Iran کے درمیان جاری جنگ بندی کو مزید بڑھانے کی ضرورت پر زور دیا ہے۔

انقرہ میں اپنے شامی ہم منصب کے ساتھ مشترکہ پریس کانفرنس کے دوران انہوں نے کہا کہ موجودہ دو ہفتوں کی جنگ بندی ایک اہم موقع ضرور فراہم کرتی ہے، مگر یہ خطے میں دیرپا امن کے لیے ناکافی ہو سکتی ہے۔

انہوں نے خبردار کیا کہ اگر اس نازک موقع کو سفارتی حکمت سے نہ سنبھالا گیا تو تنازع مزید وسیع ہو سکتا ہے۔ خاص طور پر Israel کی ممکنہ کارروائیوں کو انہوں نے ایسے عوامل میں شمار کیا جو جنگ بندی کو سبوتاژ کر سکتی ہیں۔

ترکیہ کے وزیر خارجہ نے کہا کہ غزہ سے شروع ہونے والی جنگ اب لبنان تک پھیلتی دکھائی دے رہی ہے، جو پورے مشرقِ وسطیٰ کے امن کے لیے ایک سنگین خطرہ ہے۔ ان کے مطابق اس صورتحال نے ایک جامع اور پائیدار سفارتی حل کی فوری ضرورت کو اجاگر کر دیا ہے۔

انہوں نے اس امید کا اظہار کیا کہ Pakistan میں ہونے والے آئندہ مذاکرات اس جنگ بندی کو مستحکم کرنے اور کشیدگی کم کرنے میں مددگار ثابت ہوں گے۔

مزید برآں، انہوں نے کہا کہ ایران اور خلیجی ممالک کے درمیان تعلقات کی بحالی خطے میں دیرپا استحکام کے لیے نہایت ضروری ہے۔ ساتھ ہی انہوں نے Syria میں امن و بحالی کے عمل کی حمایت جاری رکھنے کے عزم کا بھی اعادہ کیا۔

ان کے مطابق، مشرقِ وسطیٰ میں پائیدار امن نہ صرف علاقائی بلکہ عالمی استحکام کے لیے بھی ناگزیر ہے—اور اس کے لیے تمام فریقین کو ذمہ داری اور تدبر کے ساتھ آگے بڑھنا ہوگا۔

Call for Diplomacy Amid War: Türkiye Urges Extension of US-Iran Truce

Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has called for an extension of the ongoing ceasefire between the United States and Iran, warning that the fragile truce may not be sufficient to prevent further escalation in the region.

Speaking at a joint press conference in Ankara alongside his Syrian counterpart, Fidan described the current two-week ceasefire as a valuable diplomatic opening, but stressed that it must be sustained and potentially extended to achieve lasting peace.

He cautioned that the conflict risks expanding further if not managed carefully, and urged the international community to remain vigilant against possible actions by Israel that could undermine the truce.

Fidan also stated that the war, which began in Gaza, now appears to be spreading into Lebanon—highlighting an increasingly dangerous regional dynamic. He emphasized that this expansion makes a comprehensive diplomatic settlement across the Middle East more urgent than ever.

He expressed hope that upcoming talks in Pakistan would help reinforce the ceasefire and reduce the likelihood of renewed military confrontation.

Additionally, Fidan underscored the importance of normalising relations between Iran and Gulf countries, describing such a shift as essential for long-term regional stability. He also reaffirmed Türkiye’s continued support for recovery and stability efforts in Syria.

According to him, sustainable peace in the Middle East is not only a regional necessity but a global imperative—requiring restraint, responsibility, and meaningful diplomatic engagement from all sides.
