ووٹ کی گونج: عوامی شرکت نے جمہوریت کو نئی توانائی بخشیہ

بھارت کی مختلف ریاستوں میں ہونے والے اسمبلی انتخابات میں عوام کی بھرپور شرکت نے جمہوریت کے زندہ ہونے کا ایک واضح ثبوت پیش کیا ہے۔ Assam، Kerala اور Puducherry میں ووٹر ٹرن آؤٹ نے گزشتہ انتخابات کے مقابلے میں نمایاں اضافہ دکھایا۔

سرکاری اعداد و شمار کے مطابق، پڈوچیری میں سب سے زیادہ 89 فیصد سے زائد ووٹنگ ریکارڈ کی گئی، جبکہ آسام میں 85.65 فیصد ووٹ ڈالے گئے، جو 2021 کے انتخابات سے زیادہ ہے۔ کیرالہ میں بھی 78 فیصد سے زائد شرکت نے جمہوری شعور کی مضبوطی کا اظہار کیا۔

آسام میں 126 حلقوں پر مشتمل انتخابی معرکہ خاص طور پر اہمیت اختیار کر گیا ہے، جہاں Bharatiya Janata Party کی قیادت میں اتحاد مسلسل تیسری بار اقتدار حاصل کرنے کی کوشش کر رہا ہے، جبکہ Indian National Congress ایک دہائی بعد واپسی کے لیے سرگرم ہے۔

ووٹنگ کے مراکز پر عوام کی لمبی قطاریں اس بات کا مظہر تھیں کہ شہری اپنے جمہوری حق کو سنجیدگی سے لیتے ہیں۔ بزرگوں سے لے کر نوجوانوں تک، ہر طبقہ اس عمل میں شریک نظر آیا، گویا یہ محض ایک انتخاب نہیں بلکہ عوامی آواز کا اجتماعی اظہار تھا۔

Robust voter participation across Indian states has underscored the enduring strength of democracy, as polling in Assam, Kerala, and Puducherry recorded impressive turnout figures.

According to official data, Puducherry witnessed the highest turnout at over 89 percent, followed by Assam with 85.65 percent—surpassing its 2021 performance—while Kerala registered more than 78 percent participation, slightly improving upon previous elections.

In Assam, where elections were held across 126 constituencies, the contest remains politically significant. The Bharatiya Janata Party-led alliance is aiming for a third consecutive term, while the Indian National Congress seeks to reclaim power after nearly a decade.

Scenes from polling stations showed long queues of voters, reflecting a collective commitment to democratic values. Citizens across age groups participated enthusiastically, turning the electoral process into a powerful expression of civic responsibility.
