ایرانی وزارتِ خارجہ کے ترجمان نے واضح کیا کہ مذاکرات دھمکیوں اور ڈیڈ لائنز کے سائے میں نہیں ہو سکتے۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ ایران اپنی شرائط اور قومی مفادات کے ساتھ کھڑا ہے—اور یہی اس کا اعتماد ہے، نہ کہ کمزوری۔

دوسری جانب، واشنگٹن کی بے چینی بھی عیاں ہے۔ ڈونالڈ ٹرمپ نے جلد از جلد جنگ بندی پر زور دیتے ہوئے ممکنہ نتائج کی وارننگ دی ہے، جبکہ عالمی منڈیاں ہرمز کی بندش سے لرز رہی ہیں—کیونکہ یہ سمندری راستہ دنیا کے تیل کی نبض ہے۔

اطلاعات کے مطابق، پاکستان کے آرمی چیف عاصم منیر مسلسل رابطوں میں ہیں، اور یہ سفارتی کاوش شاید اس خطے کے مقدر کا رخ بدلنے کی آخری امید بن چکی ہے۔

لیکن سوال اب بھی وہی ہے:
کیا یہ جنگ واقعی ختم ہوگی، یا صرف ایک اور وقفہ لے گی؟

War at the Edge of Silence: Islamabad’s Proposal and the Closed Strait

The air over the Gulf still carries the scent of conflict, yet a faint glow of diplomacy has begun to emerge. Iran and the United States have received a proposal from Pakistan—an attempt to pause the flames of war. But the question remains: can a pause truly become peace?

The framework, informally referred to as the “Islamabad Accord,” outlines a two-phase path:
an immediate ceasefire, followed by negotiations toward a comprehensive and lasting agreement.

Tehran, however, remains cautious. Iranian officials have rejected the idea of reopening the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for what they call a “temporary ceasefire.” For them, temporary calm risks becoming a familiar illusion—where war pauses, only to return with greater force.

A spokesperson from Iran’s Foreign Ministry emphasized that negotiations cannot proceed under ultimatums or threats. Iran, they assert, stands firm on its conditions and national interests—not as a compromise, but as a reflection of confidence.

Meanwhile, urgency is visible in Washington. Donald Trump has pushed for a swift resolution, warning of consequences if delays persist. Global markets, too, are on edge, as the Strait remains a vital artery of the world’s oil supply.

Behind the scenes, Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir has been actively engaged in continuous diplomatic contacts—perhaps shaping one of the most critical peace efforts in recent times.

Yet, one question echoes louder than all negotiations:
Will this war truly end—or merely pause before another storm?
