سوڈان کی سرزمین سے آنے والی یہ خبر محض ایک خبر نہیں، بلکہ انسانیت کے ضمیر پر ایک زخم ہے۔ وائٹ نائل ریاست کے الجبلین ہسپتال پر ڈرون حملہ—جہاں زندگی کو بچانے کی کوشش کی جا رہی تھی—وہیں موت نے اپنے پنجے گاڑ دیے۔ آپریشن تھیٹر اور زچگی وارڈ، جو امید اور نئی زندگی کی علامت ہوتے ہیں، جنگ کی بے رحم سیاست کا نشانہ بن گئے۔

یہ سانحہ صرف دس جانوں کے ضیاع کا معاملہ نہیں، بلکہ یہ ایک ایسے المیے کی علامت ہے جہاں جنگ نے اپنی تمام حدیں پار کر لی ہیں۔ جب طبی عملہ، معصوم مریض، اور نومولود بچوں کی حفاظت بھی ممکن نہ رہے، تو یہ سوال اٹھتا ہے کہ کیا ہم واقعی ایک مہذب دنیا میں زندہ ہیں؟

سوڈان میں اپریل 2023 سے جاری خانہ جنگی نے نہ صرف سیاسی ڈھانچے کو تباہ کیا ہے بلکہ انسانی بنیادوں کو بھی کھوکھلا کر دیا ہے۔ عالمی ادارۂ صحت کے مطابق، دو سو سے زائد حملے صحت کے مراکز پر ہو چکے ہیں۔ یہ محض اعداد و شمار نہیں، بلکہ ہر عدد کے پیچھے ایک کہانی ہے—ایک خاندان کا بکھرنا، ایک خواب کا ٹوٹنا، ایک زندگی کا خاموش ہو جانا۔

اس جنگ کی سب سے بڑی قیمت عام شہری ادا کر رہے ہیں۔ عورتوں کے جسم میدانِ جنگ بن چکے ہیں، بچے خوف کی گود میں پل رہے ہیں، اور بیمار علاج کی امید میں دم توڑ رہے ہیں۔ انسانی امداد کے ادارے، جیسے کہ Doctors Without Borders، بھی اب محفوظ نہیں رہے—تو پھر کون ہے جو اس اندھیرے میں روشنی جلائے گا؟

یہ اداریہ کسی ایک فریق کی مذمت نہیں، بلکہ اس سوچ کے خلاف ایک احتجاج ہے جو طاقت کو حق سمجھتی ہے۔ علاقائی طاقتوں کی مداخلت، اسلحے کی فراہمی، اور خاموش عالمی ضمیر—یہ سب اس آگ کو مزید بھڑکا رہے ہیں۔

دنیا کو یہ فیصلہ کرنا ہوگا کہ کیا وہ صرف بیانات تک محدود رہے گی یا عملی اقدامات کرے گی؟ کیا عالمی برادری انسانی جانوں کی حرمت کو دوبارہ بحال کرے گی یا سوڈان کو ایک اور بھولی بسری جنگ کے طور پر تاریخ کے حوالے کر دے گی؟

سوڈان آج ہم سے صرف ہمدردی نہیں، بلکہ انصاف مانگ رہا ہے۔ اور انصاف وہ چراغ ہے جو اگر آج نہ جلایا گیا، تو کل ہر سرزمین اندھیرے میں ڈوب سکتی ہے۔

Sudan: When Even Hospitals Are Not Safe

The news emerging from Sudan is not merely a report—it is a wound upon the conscience of humanity. A drone strike on Al Jabalain Hospital in White Nile State has turned a place of healing into a scene of devastation. An operating theatre and a maternity ward—symbols of life and hope—were reduced to targets in a war that seems to have lost all moral boundaries.

This tragedy is not just about the loss of ten lives; it represents a deeper collapse of human values. When doctors, patients, and newborns are no longer safe, one must ask: what remains of our collective humanity?

Since April 2023, Sudan’s civil war has not only shattered political order but has also dismantled the very foundations of society. According to global health monitors, over 200 attacks on healthcare facilities have been recorded. These are not just statistics—they are silent testimonies of broken families, extinguished dreams, and lives cut short.

Civilians are bearing the heaviest burden. Women’s bodies have become battlegrounds, children are growing up in fear, and the sick are dying without care. Even humanitarian organizations like Doctors Without Borders are no longer spared. In such darkness, who remains to protect the sanctity of life?

This editorial is not an indictment of one side alone, but a protest against a mindset that equates power with righteousness. Regional interventions, arms supplies, and a muted global conscience have all contributed to fueling this catastrophe.

The world must now decide: will it remain confined to statements of concern, or will it act with moral courage? Will the international community restore the sanctity of human life, or allow Sudan to fade into yet another forgotten conflict?

Sudan is not asking for sympathy alone—it is demanding justice. And justice, if denied today, may darken the future of many more nations tomorrow.
