اسرائیلی روزنامہ Yedioth Ahronoth کی ایک رپورٹ کے مطابق تین ہفتوں سے جاری جنگ کے بعد Benjamin Netanyahu کے دفتر میں بے چینی اور مایوسی بڑھتی جا رہی ہے۔ رپورٹ میں کہا گیا ہے کہ اسرائیلی خفیہ ادارے Mossad کی جانب سے یہ توقع ظاہر کی گئی تھی کہ ایران کے اندرونی حالات جلد بگڑ جائیں گے اور حکومت کمزور ہو جائے گی، تاہم اب تک ایسا کوئی واضح نتیجہ سامنے نہیں آیا۔
ذرائع کے مطابق اسرائیلی قیادت کو امید تھی کہ جنگی دباؤ کے نتیجے میں ایران کے اندر سیاسی انتشار پیدا ہوگا، مگر زمینی حقائق ان اندازوں کے برعکس ثابت ہو رہے ہیں۔ اس صورتحال نے حکومتی حلقوں میں حکمت عملی پر سوالات کھڑے کر دیے ہیں اور آئندہ کے لائحہ عمل پر سنجیدہ غور و فکر جاری ہے۔
مبصرین کا کہنا ہے کہ جنگ کے طول پکڑنے اور متوقع نتائج نہ ملنے کی وجہ سے اسرائیل کو سفارتی اور عسکری سطح پر نئی حکمت عملی اپنانا پڑ سکتی ہے۔
