دنیا کی سیاست اکثر جنگوں، معاہدوں اور سفارتی بیانات کے پردے میں دیکھی جاتی ہے، مگر بعض اوقات تاریخ کے پردے کے پیچھے ایسی فائلیں کھلتی ہیں جو یہ بتاتی ہیں کہ اصل جنگ میدانِ جنگ میں نہیں بلکہ طاقت کے ایوانوں میں لڑی جاتی ہے۔
ایپسٹائین فائلز بھی شاید اسی تاریک داستان کا ایک باب ہیں۔

یہ صرف ایک شخص کی اخلاقی گراوٹ یا چند طاقتور شخصیات کی بدعنوانی کی کہانی نہیں۔ یہ اس نظام کی علامت ہے جس میں طاقت، دولت اور اثر و رسوخ ایک ایسا جال بناتے ہیں جس کے اندر سچائی، انصاف اور انسانیت اکثر قید ہو جاتی ہے۔

جیفری ایپسٹائین کے گرد گھومتی ہوئی یہ فائلیں اس سوال کو جنم دیتی ہیں کہ آخر دنیا کے طاقتور ترین حلقوں میں ایسا کیا ہے جسے چھپانے کے لیے اتنی خاموشی، اتنا خوف اور اتنی بے چینی موجود ہے؟

یہ فائلیں صرف اسکینڈل نہیں ہیں؛
یہ اس عالمی نظام کی جھلک ہیں جہاں اخلاقی دیوالیہ پن اور سیاسی مفادات ایک دوسرے کا سہارا بن جاتے ہیں۔

تاریخ ہمیں بتاتی ہے کہ جب طاقت کے مراکز اخلاقی حدود سے آزاد ہو جائیں تو جنگیں صرف ہتھیاروں سے نہیں ہوتیں بلکہ سچائی کو دفن کر کے بھی لڑی جاتی ہیں۔
آج دنیا کے مختلف خطوں میں بھڑکتی ہوئی جنگیں، عالمی کشیدگیاں اور بڑھتی ہوئی بے اعتمادی شاید اسی بڑے کھیل کا حصہ محسوس ہوتی ہیں۔

سوال یہ نہیں کہ ایپسٹائین کون تھا۔
اصل سوال یہ ہے کہ وہ کن طاقتوں کا دربان تھا، کن رازوں کا محافظ تھا، اور کن مفادات کا خاموش گواہ تھا۔

اگر طاقتور حلقوں کے راز عوام کے سامنے آ جائیں تو شاید دنیا کی سیاست کا نقشہ ہی بدل جائے۔ اسی لیے کبھی کبھی سچائی کو فائلوں میں دفن کر دیا جاتا ہے، گواہوں کو خاموش کر دیا جاتا ہے اور خبروں کو شور میں گم کر دیا جاتا ہے۔

یہی وہ لمحہ ہے جب صحافت کی اصل ذمہ داری سامنے آتی ہے۔
صحافت کا کام صرف خبر دینا نہیں بلکہ طاقت کے سامنے سوال اٹھانا بھی ہے۔

الف نیوز کا ماننا ہے کہ دنیا کو جنگوں سے زیادہ سچائی کی ضرورت ہے۔
کیونکہ جب سچائی چھپائی جاتی ہے تو جنگیں جنم لیتی ہیں، اور جب سچائی سامنے آتی ہے تو شاید انسانیت کو ایک نئی امید ملتی ہے۔
