بھارت کی جمہوریت تین ستونوں پر کھڑی ہے: معاشرہ، میڈیا اور عدالت۔ مگر آج یہ ستون اپنی اپنی جگہ لرزاں دکھائی دیتے ہیں۔ معاشرہ تقسیم کے نعروں میں بٹتا جا رہا ہے، میڈیا کی اسکرینوں پر شور سچ پر غالب ہے، اور عدالتوں کے فیصلے امید بھی جگاتے ہیں اور سوال بھی۔
یہ وہ وقت ہے جب اختلاف کو دشمنی اور سوال کو بغاوت سمجھا جا رہا ہے۔ میڈیا، جو سماج کا آئینہ ہونا چاہیے تھا، اکثر طاقت کا ترجمان بنتا دکھائی دیتا ہے؛ اور معاشرہ، جو انصاف کا طلبگار تھا، جذبات کے سیلاب میں حقیقت سے دور ہوتا جا رہا ہے۔ ایسے ماحول میں عدالت ہی وہ آخری دروازہ ہے جہاں دستور کی سانس باقی ہے۔
مگر عدالت بھی اکیلی نہیں لڑ سکتی۔ اگر سماج سوال کرنا چھوڑ دے اور میڈیا ضمیر کی آواز بننے سے انکار کر دے تو انصاف محض کاغذی اعلان رہ جاتا ہے۔ جمہوریت کا حسن اسی توازن میں ہے جہاں طاقت جواب دہ ہو، خبر باخبر ہو، اور فیصلہ خوف سے آزاد۔
الف نیوز یہ مانتا ہے کہ سچ کا سفر مشکل ضرور ہے مگر ناممکن نہیں۔ شرط یہ ہے کہ معاشرہ ہوش میں رہے، میڈیا ذمہ دار ہو، اور عدالت دستور کے چراغ کو تھامے رکھے—کیونکہ جب چراغ بجھتے ہیں تو اندھیرا کسی ایک کا نہیں، سب کا مقدر بنتا ہے۔

Indian democracy stands on three pillars: society, media, and the judiciary. Today, all three appear unsettled. Society is fragmenting under the weight of polarizing slogans; media noise often overwhelms truth; and court verdicts inspire both hope and debate.
This is a time when dissent is mistaken for hostility and questions are branded as defiance. The media, meant to mirror society, increasingly echoes power, while society—once a seeker of justice—drifts away from reason into emotional currents. In this climate, the judiciary remains the last space where the Constitution still breathes.
Yet the courts cannot stand alone. If society stops questioning and the media abandons its moral duty, justice risks becoming a mere proclamation on paper. The strength of democracy lies in balance—where power is accountable, news is conscientious, and judgment is free from fear.
Alif News believes that the path of truth is difficult but not impossible. It demands an alert society, a responsible media, and a judiciary that holds the constitutional lamp steady—because when lamps go out, darkness does not belong to one alone; it becomes everyone’s fate.
