تمل ناڈو اسمبلی میں ہنگامہ

چنئی، 8 ستمبر: تمل ناڈو اسمبلی میں منگل کے روز اُس وقت شدید ہنگامہ برپا ہوگیا جب ڈی ایم کے ارکان نے وزیرِ اعلیٰ سی جوزف وجے کے سابق وزیرِ اعلیٰ ایم کروناندھی، سابق مرکزی وزیر مرسولی مارن، سرکاریہ کمیشن اور حالیہ انفورسمنٹ ڈائریکٹوریٹ (ای ڈی) کے معاملات سے متعلق ریمارکس کو اسمبلی کی کارروائی سے حذف کرنے کا مطالبہ کیا۔

اسپیکر جے سی پربھاکر نے ڈی ایم کے کا مطالبہ مسترد کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ وزیرِ اعلیٰ نے محض سرکاریہ کمیشن کا حوالہ دیا ہے، جس پر ایوان میں ماضی میں تفصیلی بحث ہوچکی ہے۔ اسپیکر نے واضح کیا کہ ان ریمارکس کو کارروائی سے حذف کرنے کی کوئی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔

اس فیصلے کے بعد ڈی ایم کے ارکان نے احتجاج مزید تیز کردیا۔ ارکان نے نعرے لگاتے ہوئے ایوان کے وسط میں، یعنی ’ویل‘ میں بیٹھ کر کارروائی روک دی۔

اسپیکر نے احتجاج کرنے والے ارکان سے اپنی نشستوں پر واپس جانے کی اپیل کی اور ڈی ایم کے کے وہپ ای وی ویلو اور ڈپٹی اپوزیشن لیڈر کے این نہرو کو اس معاملے پر اظہارِ خیال کی اجازت دینے کی پیشکش کی، تاہم احتجاج ختم نہ ہوا۔

اسپیکر پربھاکر نے دوٹوک انداز میں کہا کہ وہ اپنے فیصلے سے دستبردار نہیں ہوں گے۔ اس کے بعد انہوں نے مارشلز کو احتجاج کرنے والے ارکان کو ایوان سے باہر نکالنے کا حکم دیا۔

مارشلز نے ایوان میں داخل ہوکر ان ارکان کو جسمانی طور پر باہر نکالا جو اپنی جگہ سے ہٹنے پر آمادہ نہیں تھے۔ ان میں والپاری کے رکن کٹی، تروویارور کے رکن دورائی چندرشیکرن اور رشیوینڈیام کے رکن وسنتھم کے کارتھی کیئن سمیت دیگر ارکان شامل تھے۔

ہنگامے کے باعث اسمبلی کی کارروائی تقریباً صبح 10:03 بجے متاثر ہوئی۔ اس سے قبل بھی سابق وزراء ای وی ویلو اور کے این نہرو کی وزراء آدھاو ارجنا اور آر نرمل کمار کے ساتھ گرما گرم بحث ہوچکی تھی۔

تمل ناڈو اسمبلی کا یہ واقعہ ایسے وقت میں پیش آیا ہے جب ریاست کی سیاست میں حکمراں اور اپوزیشن جماعتوں کے درمیان سیاسی کشیدگی پہلے ہی نمایاں ہے۔ اسمبلی میں ہونے والا یہ تصادم ایک بنیادی سوال بھی سامنے لاتا ہے: کیا اختلافِ رائے کو جمہوری بحث کا حصہ بنایا جائے گا، یا ایوان بھی سیاسی محاذ آرائی کا میدان بنتا جائے گا؟

DMK MLAs Evicted from Tamil Nadu Assembly After Uproar Over CM Vijay’s Remarks

Chennai, September 8: Chaos erupted in the Tamil Nadu Assembly on Tuesday after DMK legislators staged a strong protest demanding that remarks made by Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay concerning former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, former Union Minister Murasoli Maran, the Sarkaria Commission and recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) cases be expunged from the Assembly records.

Speaker J C Prabhakar rejected the demand, ruling that the Chief Minister had merely referred to the Sarkaria Commission, an issue that had already been discussed extensively in the House. The Speaker said there was no justification for removing the remarks from the official proceedings.

His ruling triggered a fresh escalation, with DMK legislators raising slogans and entering the well of the House, bringing the proceedings to a standstill.

The Speaker urged the protesting MLAs to return to their seats and offered to allow DMK whip E V Velu and Deputy Leader of the Opposition K N Nehru to speak on the issue. The protesting members, however, refused to withdraw their agitation.

“I will not reverse my ruling,” Speaker Prabhakar asserted before directing marshals to remove the protesting legislators from the House. He also warned Kallakurichi MLA Vasantham K Karthikeyan against approaching the Chair.

Marshals subsequently entered the Assembly and physically removed members who refused to leave the well. Those evicted included Kutty, the MLA from Valparai, Durai Chandrasekaran of Thiruvaiyaru and Vasantham Karthikeyan of Rishivandiyam, among others.

The disruption brought Assembly proceedings to a halt at around 10:03 am. The confrontation followed earlier heated exchanges involving former ministers E V Velu and K N Nehru and ministers Aadhav Arjuna and R Nirmalkumar.

The incident comes amid heightened political tensions in Tamil Nadu, with the ruling establishment and opposition locked in increasingly sharp political exchanges. Tuesday’s confrontation inside the Assembly once again raises a larger democratic question: when political disagreement enters the House, does it strengthen parliamentary debate—or turn the legislature itself into another battlefield of politics?
