چھ افراد کو بچا لیا گیا، متعدد کے ملبے تلے دبے ہونے کا خدشہ

نئی دہلی، 6 ستمبر: جنوب مغربی دہلی کے ستیہ نکیتن علاقے میں اتوار کو ایک مکان اچانک منہدم ہوگیا، جس کے نتیجے میں متعدد افراد کے ملبے تلے دبے ہونے کا خدشہ ظاہر کیا جا رہا ہے۔ دہلی فائر سروس کے مطابق اب تک چھ افراد کو بحفاظت نکالا جا چکا ہے، تاہم عمارت میں موجود افراد کی حتمی تعداد ابھی معلوم نہیں ہوسکی ہے۔

حادثے کی اطلاع دوپہر تقریباً 1:33 بجے شیو مندر کے قریب سے موصول ہوئی۔ اطلاع ملتے ہی آٹھ فائر ٹینڈرز اور مختلف محکموں کی متعدد امدادی ٹیمیں موقع پر پہنچ گئیں۔ ملبہ ہٹانے کے لیے جے سی بی مشینیں بھی طلب کی گئی ہیں، جبکہ پولیس نے علاقے کو گھیرے میں لے کر لوگوں کو جائے حادثہ سے دور رہنے کی ہدایت کی ہے۔

مقامی افراد کے مطابق منہدم ہونے والی عمارت پانچ منزلہ تھی اور قریبی جنوبی کیمپس میں زیر تعلیم طلبہ کے لیے ہاسٹل کے طور پر استعمال ہوتی تھی۔ بتایا جاتا ہے کہ عمارت میں کم از کم 30 طلبہ رہائش پذیر تھے۔ عمارت کے تہہ خانے میں کام کرنے والے چند مزدور حادثے کے وقت کھانے کے لیے باہر گئے ہوئے تھے۔

حادثے کے بعد سامنے آنے والی تصاویر میں ایک شخص کی ٹانگ ملبے تلے دبی ہوئی دکھائی دی، جسے نکالنے کے لیے امدادی کارکن مسلسل کوشش کر رہے ہیں۔ دہلی پولیس نے تاحال عمارت منہدم ہونے کی وجوہات یا حادثے کے حالات کے بارے میں کوئی باضابطہ بیان جاری نہیں کیا ہے۔

امدادی کارروائی جاری ہے اور فائر حکام اس بات کا تعین کرنے کی کوشش کر رہے ہیں کہ آیا مزید افراد ملبے کے اندر پھنسے ہوئے ہیں۔

Delhi Building Collapse: Six Rescued, Several Feared Trapped

New Delhi, September 6: A building collapsed near Shiv Mandir in Satya Niketan, southwest Delhi, on Sunday afternoon, raising fears that several people may still be trapped under the debris. According to the Delhi Fire Service, six people have so far been rescued, while the exact number of people feared trapped remains unclear.

The incident was reported at around 1:33 p.m. Eight fire tenders and multiple rescue teams from various departments were rushed to the site. JCB machines have also been brought in to clear the debris as rescue operations continue.

Police have cordoned off the area and repeatedly urged residents and onlookers to stay away from the site. Student volunteers from Delhi University were also assisting the rescue teams.

Local residents said the collapsed structure was a five-storeyed building reportedly being used as a hostel for students from the nearby South Campus. At least 30 students were believed to be staying there. Some workers who had been working in the basement had reportedly gone out for lunch shortly before the collapse.

Visuals from the site showed a person’s leg trapped beneath the rubble, with rescue personnel working to reach the victim.

The Delhi Police has not yet issued an official statement on the circumstances or possible cause of the collapse. Rescue teams are continuing their search to determine whether anyone else remains trapped under the debris.
