کیا ہندوستان کی نئی نسل ایک نئے سیاسی باب کا آغاز کر رہی ہے؟

ہندوستان کی سیاسی تاریخ میں طلبہ اور نوجوانوں کی تحریکیں ہمیشہ تبدیلی کی علامت رہی ہیں۔ کبھی گجرات کی نو نرمان تحریک نے اقتدار کے ایوانوں کو ہلا دیا، کبھی جے پرکاش نارائن کی عوامی تحریک نے ملک کی سیاست کا رخ بدل دیا۔ آج ایک بار پھر نوجوان نسل سڑکوں پر ہے، لیکن اس مرتبہ ان کا بنیادی مطالبہ کسی نظریاتی جنگ کا نہیں بلکہ انصاف، شفافیت اور مستقبل کے تحفظ کا ہے۔

کاکروچ جنتا پارٹی (CJP) کے زیرِ اہتمام شروع ہونے والی یہ تحریک امتحانی پرچوں کے بار بار افشا ہونے، تعلیمی نظام پر عوامی اعتماد کے متزلزل ہونے اور روزگار کے محدود مواقع کے خلاف نوجوانوں کے غم و غصے کی علامت بن چکی ہے۔ ابتدا میں یہ احتجاج محض امتحانی اصلاحات تک محدود دکھائی دیتا تھا، لیکن وقت کے ساتھ اس نے ایک وسیع تر عوامی بے چینی کی شکل اختیار کر لی۔

تحریک کی سب سے نمایاں خصوصیت اس کا غیر معمولی سماجی تنوع ہے۔ اس میں مختلف ریاستوں، زبانوں، ذاتوں اور معاشرتی طبقات سے تعلق رکھنے والے نوجوان شریک ہیں۔ ان کا مشترکہ سوال یہ ہے کہ اگر محنت، قابلیت اور امتحانات پر بھی اعتماد باقی نہ رہے تو ترقی کا راستہ کہاں سے نکلے گا؟

ماہرین کا خیال ہے کہ یہی پہلو اس تحریک کو گزشتہ برسوں کی دوسری عوامی تحریکوں سے ممتاز کرتا ہے۔ یہ کسی مذہبی، نسلی یا نظریاتی تقسیم پر قائم نہیں بلکہ حکمرانی، شفافیت اور ریاستی ذمہ داری کے سوالات کو مرکز بناتی ہے۔

حکومت نے امتحانی بدعنوانیوں میں ملوث افراد کے خلاف سخت کارروائی اور تیز رفتار عدالتوں کے قیام کا اعلان کیا ہے، لیکن احتجاج کرنے والے طلبہ کا کہنا ہے کہ محض وعدے کافی نہیں، بلکہ نظام میں عملی اصلاحات ناگزیر ہیں۔

سیاسی مبصرین کی آرا مختلف ہیں۔ بعض کے نزدیک یہ تحریک وقتی جذبات کی پیداوار ہے جو وقت کے ساتھ مدھم پڑ جائے گی، جبکہ دوسرے اسے ہندوستان کی نوجوان نسل کے بدلتے ہوئے سیاسی شعور کی علامت قرار دیتے ہیں۔ ان کے مطابق نوجوان اب صرف انتخابات کے ذریعے نہیں بلکہ عوامی دباؤ، احتساب اور مسلسل شہری شرکت کے ذریعے بھی اپنی آواز مؤثر بنانا چاہتے ہیں۔

یہ بھی حقیقت ہے کہ معاشی سست روی، روزگار کے محدود امکانات اور بڑھتی ہوئی بے یقینی نے نوجوانوں کے اندر مستقبل کے حوالے سے گہری تشویش پیدا کی ہے۔ ایسے ماحول میں امتحانی بے ضابطگیاں محض ایک انتظامی ناکامی نہیں رہتیں بلکہ ریاست پر اعتماد کے بحران میں تبدیل ہو جاتی ہیں۔

اس تحریک کا انجام کیا ہوگا، اس کا فیصلہ آنے والا وقت کرے گا۔ لیکن ایک حقیقت واضح ہو چکی ہے کہ ہندوستان کا نوجوان اب صرف وعدے نہیں بلکہ جواب دہی، شفافیت اور بہتر حکمرانی کا مطالبہ کر رہا ہے۔ اگر اس آواز کو سنجیدگی سے سنا گیا تو یہ تعلیمی اصلاحات کی بنیاد بن سکتی ہے، اور اگر اسے نظر انداز کیا گیا تو یہ بے چینی مستقبل میں مزید وسیع سماجی اور سیاسی تبدیلیوں کا پیش خیمہ بھی ثابت ہو سکتی ہے۔

Is India’s Youth Writing a New Political Chapter?

Student movements have repeatedly shaped India’s political history. From the Nav Nirman movement in Gujarat to Jayaprakash Narayan’s mass mobilisation during the 1970s, young people have often emerged as catalysts for change. Today, another youth-led movement is drawing national attention—not over ideology, but over trust in the country’s education system.

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) movement began as a campaign against repeated examination paper leaks. What initially appeared to be a demand for education reforms has rapidly evolved into a broader expression of frustration over governance, accountability and the future of millions of students.

The movement stands out because of its diversity. Students from different states, languages, social backgrounds and communities have united around a common concern: if examinations are no longer fair, the promise of merit-based social mobility is at risk.

Political observers argue that this distinguishes the protests from many previous movements. Rather than being driven primarily by ideology or identity, the protests question the state’s administrative capacity to ensure transparency and fairness in public institutions.

The government’s response has included promises of fast-track courts and stronger action against those responsible for examination fraud. Protesters, however, insist that meaningful structural reforms—not only punitive measures—are necessary to restore confidence in the education system.

Analysts remain divided over the movement’s long-term impact. Some believe it may gradually lose momentum, while others see it as evidence of a politically conscious generation demanding better governance and institutional accountability.

Behind the protests lie wider concerns. Slower economic growth, limited employment opportunities and growing uncertainty about the future have deepened anxiety among young Indians. In this context, examination scandals represent more than administrative failures—they symbolise a crisis of public trust.

Whether the movement ultimately transforms Indian politics remains uncertain. Yet it has already demonstrated one important reality: India’s youth are no longer asking only for opportunities; they are demanding transparency, accountability and responsive governance.

If these concerns lead to meaningful reforms, the protests may become a turning point for India’s education system. If ignored, they could evolve into a broader movement reflecting the aspirations and frustrations of an entire generation.
