دوحہ، 12 جولائی:
قطر کے سابق امیرِ والد شیخ حمد بن خلیفہ آل ثانی کی نمازِ جنازہ اتوار کی شام دوحہ کی امام محمد بن عبد الوہاب مسجد میں ادا کی گئی۔ وہ 74 برس کی عمر میں انتقال کر گئے تھے۔

نمازِ جنازہ میں قطر کی قیادت، شاہی خاندان کے افراد، اعلیٰ حکام اور ہزاروں شہریوں نے شرکت کی۔ نماز کے بعد مرحوم کے صاحبزادے اور موجودہ امیرِ قطر شیخ تمیم بن حمد آل ثانی نے دیگر اہلِ خانہ کے ساتھ میت کو کندھا دیا۔

مرحوم کو دوحہ کے لوسیل قبرستان میں سادگی کے ساتھ اسلامی طریقۂ کار کے مطابق سپردِ خاک کیا گیا۔

قطری حکومت نے بدھ تک سرکاری سوگ کا اعلان کیا ہے۔ اس دوران امیرِ قطر شیخ تمیم بن حمد آل ثانی لوسیل پیلس میں مختلف ممالک کے سربراہان، معزز شخصیات اور شاہی خاندانوں کے نمائندوں سے تعزیت وصول کریں گے۔

شیخ حمد بن خلیفہ آل ثانی نے 1995 سے 2013 تک قطر کی قیادت کی۔ ان کے دورِ حکومت میں قطر نے اقتصادی، تعلیمی، سفارتی اور عالمی سطح پر نمایاں ترقی کی، جس کے باعث انہیں جدید قطر کی تعمیر کا معمار قرار دیا جاتا ہے۔

Funeral Prayers Held for Qatar’s Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani in Doha

Doha, July 12:
Funeral prayers for Qatar’s Father Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, were held on Sunday evening at the Imam Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab Mosque in Doha following his passing at the age of 74.

The funeral was attended by members of the Qatari leadership, the royal family, senior officials, and thousands of mourners. After the prayers, the late leader’s son and current Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, joined family members in carrying the coffin.

Sheikh Hamad was laid to rest at Lusail Cemetery in a simple Islamic burial ceremony.

Qatar has declared an official period of mourning until Wednesday. During this time, Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will receive visiting heads of state, dignitaries, and members of royal families at Lusail Palace.

Sheikh Hamad ruled Qatar from 1995 to 2013 and is widely regarded as the architect of modern Qatar. Under his leadership, the country witnessed remarkable progress in economic development, education, diplomacy, and global influence, transforming Qatar into a prominent international player.
