آیت اللہ علی خامنہ ای کی نمازِ جنازہ میں عالمی رہنماؤں اور لاکھوں سوگواروں کی شرکت متوقع

تہران، 3 جولائی: ایران کے سابق سپریم لیڈر آیت اللہ علی خامنہ ای کی میت جمعہ کے روز تہران کے امام خمینی گرینڈ مصلیٰ منتقل کر دی گئی، جہاں ان کی ہفت روزہ آخری رسومات کا آغاز ہوا۔ سرکاری تقریب میں لاکھوں افراد کی شرکت متوقع ہے، جبکہ مختلف ممالک کے اعلیٰ سطحی وفود بھی اظہارِ تعزیت کے لیے تہران پہنچ رہے ہیں۔

سرکاری ذرائع کے مطابق آیت اللہ خامنہ ای 28 فروری 2026 کو ایران پر ہونے والے امریکی اور اسرائیلی فضائی حملوں میں جاں بحق ہوئے تھے۔ ان کی تدفین 6 جولائی کو مشہد میں روضۂ امام رضاؑ کے احاطے میں کی جائے گی، جبکہ اس سے قبل میت کو قم، نجف اور کربلا لے جانے کا بھی پروگرام ہے تاکہ مذہبی شخصیات اور عوام آخری دیدار کر سکیں۔

جنازے کی تقریبات میں پاکستان کے وزیر اعظم شہباز شریف، فیلڈ مارشل عاصم منیر، افغانستان، چین، بھارت اور دیگر کئی ممالک کے نمائندے شریک ہو رہے ہیں۔ بھارتی مذہبی رہنماؤں کے ایک وفد نے بھی تہران پہنچ کر خراجِ عقیدت پیش کیا۔

تدفین میں کئی ماہ کی تاخیر کیوں ہوئی؟

آیت اللہ خامنہ ای کی شہادت کے بعد فوری تدفین نہ ہونے پر دنیا بھر میں سوالات اٹھے۔ ایرانی حکومت کا مؤقف ہے کہ اس وقت ملک جنگی حالات، فضائی حملوں اور شدید سکیورٹی خدشات سے دوچار تھا، اس لیے لاکھوں افراد کی موجودگی میں ریاستی جنازہ منعقد کرنا ممکن نہیں تھا۔

سرکاری حکام کے مطابق جنگ بندی اور نسبتاً محفوظ حالات پیدا ہونے کے بعد ہی ہفت روزہ قومی سوگ، بین الاقوامی وفود کی آمد اور عوامی شرکت کے ساتھ آخری رسومات کا انعقاد ممکن بنایا گیا۔ غیر سرکاری اطلاعات کے مطابق اس دوران میت کو محفوظ سرد خانے میں رکھا گیا، تاہم حکومت نے اس بارے میں تفصیلی سرکاری وضاحت جاری نہیں کی۔

تجزیہ کاروں کے مطابق ایران اس جنازے کو محض تدفین نہیں بلکہ قومی وحدت، سیاسی استقامت اور مزاحمت کی علامت کے طور پر بھی پیش کر رہا ہے، اسی لیے آخری رسومات کو کئی دنوں پر محیط ریاستی تقریب کی شکل دی گئی ہے۔

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s Week-Long Funeral Ceremonies Begin in Tehran; Global Dignitaries Arrive

Tehran, July 3: The body of Iran’s former Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was moved to Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Grand Mosalla on Friday as Iran began a week-long state funeral attended by senior officials, foreign delegations and millions of mourners.

According to Iranian authorities, Ayatollah Khamenei was killed in U.S.-Israeli airstrikes on February 28, 2026. He is scheduled to be buried on July 6 in Mashhad near the holy shrine of Imam Reza, after ceremonial processions planned in Qom, Najaf and Karbala.

Among the international dignitaries attending the funeral are Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Asim Munir, representatives from Afghanistan, China, India and several other countries. An Indian delegation of religious leaders also paid tribute in Tehran.

Why Was the Burial Delayed for Months?

The unusual delay between Ayatollah Khamenei’s death and burial has drawn widespread attention. Iranian authorities say that the ongoing war, continuous airstrikes and serious security threats made it impossible to hold a large public funeral immediately after his death.

Officials maintain that the state funeral was postponed until a ceasefire and improved security conditions allowed millions of mourners and foreign dignitaries to participate safely.

Unofficial reports suggest that the body was preserved in a secure cold-storage facility during the intervening months, although the Iranian government has not publicly disclosed detailed information about where or how the remains were kept.

Political observers believe that Tehran has deliberately transformed the funeral into a major national event symbolising unity, resilience and resistance, rather than conducting a simple burial ceremony immediately after his death.
