Vijay کی سیاسی جماعت ٹی وی کے (TVK) نے تمل ناڈو کی سیاست میں ایک غیر متوقع اور تاریخی موڑ پیدا کرتے ہوئے حکومت سازی کے لیے مطلوبہ اکثریت حاصل کر لی ہے۔ ہفتہ کے روز وی سی کے (VCK) اور آئی یو ایم ایل (IUML) نے غیر مشروط حمایت کا اعلان کیا، جس کے بعد ٹی وی کے کے حمایتی اراکین اسمبلی کی تعداد 120 تک پہنچ گئی۔

چار دن تک جاری رہنے والی شدید سیاسی سرگرمیوں، ملاقاتوں اور قیاس آرائیوں کے بعد آخرکار یہ تعطل ختم ہوا۔ اس سے قبل وجے مسلسل تین دن تک گورنر سے ملاقات کرتے رہے لیکن مطلوبہ 118 اراکین کی حمایت ثابت نہ کر پانے کے باعث حکومت سازی کا عمل رکا ہوا تھا۔

دو سال قبل قائم ہونے والی ٹی وی کے نے اس انتخاب میں حیران کن کامیابی حاصل کرتے ہوئے 108 نشستیں جیتیں اور ریاست کی روایتی دراوڑی جماعتوں، یعنی DMK اور AIADMK کو پیچھے چھوڑ دیا۔ اگرچہ وجے نے دو نشستوں سے کامیابی حاصل کی ہے، مگر ایک نشست چھوڑنے کے بعد پارٹی کی مؤثر طاقت 107 رہ جائے گی۔

سیاسی مبصرین اس پیش رفت کو تمل ناڈو کی سیاست میں ایک نئے عہد کا آغاز قرار دے رہے ہیں، جہاں فلمی مقبولیت اور عوامی جذبات نے روایتی سیاسی ڈھانچوں کو چیلنج کر دیا ہے۔ عوام کے ایک بڑے طبقے نے وجے کی شبیہ کو تبدیلی، نوجوان قیادت اور نئے سیاسی بیانیے کی علامت کے طور پر قبول کیا ہے۔

Vijay is now poised to become the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu after his party, TVK, crossed the majority mark with crucial support from VCK and IUML on Saturday.

The announcement ended four days of intense political negotiations and uncertainty that had gripped the state after the election results. Vijay had met the Governor on three consecutive days but was initially unable to demonstrate the support of the required 118 MLAs needed to form the government.

With the backing of VCK and IUML — both holding two seats each — TVK’s alliance strength has now risen to 120 MLAs.
