مغربی بنگال کی وزیر اعلیٰ Mamata Banerjee نے جمعرات (30 اپریل 2026) کو الزام لگایا کہ ایگزٹ پول کے نتائج بھارتیہ جنتا پارٹی (BJP) کی ہدایت پر نشر کیے گئے تاکہ ان کی جماعت کے کارکنوں کے حوصلے پست کیے جا سکیں۔

ایک ویڈیو پیغام میں انہوں نے کہا کہ ٹی وی چینلز پر نشر ہونے والے اندازے دراصل BJP کے دفتر سے جاری کیے گئے تھے، اور انہیں نشر کرنے کے لیے پیسے بھی دیے گئے۔ انہوں نے اسے ایک "بڑی سازش” قرار دیا جس کا مقصد نتائج سے پہلے عوامی تاثر کو متاثر کرنا ہے۔

ایگزٹ پولز میں جہاں BJP کو اکثریت ملنے کی پیش گوئی کی گئی، وہیں ممتا بنرجی نے پُراعتماد انداز میں کہا کہ ان کی جماعت، آل انڈیا ترنمول کانگریس (TMC)، 294 رکنی اسمبلی میں 226 سے زائد نشستیں حاصل کرے گی، بلکہ ممکن ہے 230 سے بھی زیادہ نشستیں جیت لے۔

انہوں نے ووٹروں کا شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ عوام نے شدید گرمی اور مبینہ دباؤ کے باوجود بڑی تعداد میں ووٹ دیا۔

ممتا بنرجی نے مرکزی وزیر داخلہ Amit Shah پر بھی تنقید کرتے ہوئے الزام لگایا کہ مرکزی فورسز نے پورے انتخابی عمل کے دوران BJP کے "ایجنٹ” کے طور پر کام کیا۔

انہوں نے مزید دعویٰ کیا کہ خواتین، بچوں، صحافیوں اور TMC کارکنوں کے ساتھ کئی مقامات پر زیادتیاں ہوئیں، اور پارٹی کارکنوں کو جان بوجھ کر گرفتار کیا گیا تاکہ وہ پولنگ ایجنٹ کے طور پر خدمات انجام نہ دے سکیں۔

انہوں نے پارٹی کارکنوں کو ہدایت دی کہ وہ ای وی ایم (EVM) مشینوں کے محفوظ کمروں کی سخت نگرانی کریں، اور مشینوں کی منتقلی کے دوران کسی بھی ممکنہ چھیڑ چھاڑ سے ہوشیار رہیں۔

اس کے ساتھ ہی انہوں نے اپنے حامیوں سے اپیل کی کہ وہ اشتعال کے باوجود پرامن اور منظم رہیں، اور 4 مئی کے نتائج کا انتظار کریں۔

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday (April 30, 2026) alleged that exit poll projections were broadcast at the behest of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to demoralize her party workers.

In a video message shared on social media, she claimed that the projections aired on television channels were circulated from the BJP office and that money had been paid to ensure their broadcast. She described the exercise as part of a “larger conspiracy” to influence public perception before the official results.

While most exit polls predicted a majority for the BJP, Ms. Banerjee expressed strong confidence that her party, the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), would win more than 226 seats in the 294-member Assembly, possibly even exceeding 230 seats.

She thanked voters for turning out in large numbers despite extreme heat and alleged intimidation.

Targeting Union Home Minister Amit Shah, she alleged that central forces acted as “agents of the BJP” throughout the polling process.

She further claimed that women, children, journalists, and TMC workers were assaulted in several areas, and that many party workers were deliberately arrested to prevent them from serving as polling agents.

Ms. Banerjee also instructed party workers to remain vigilant and guard strong rooms housing Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), warning of possible tampering during their transfer to counting centers.

At the same time, she urged her supporters to remain calm and disciplined, even if provoked, and to wait for the final results on May 4.
