مشرقِ وسطیٰ ایک بار پھر جنگ کی لپیٹ میں ہے، جہاں طاقت کے مظاہرے نے انسانیت کی سانسیں روک دی ہیں۔ Donald Trump کی جانب سے ایران کو دی گئی سخت ڈیڈ لائن—کہ وہ آبنائے ہرمز کو کھول دے یا پھر اپنے بنیادی ڈھانچے پر حملوں کا سامنا کرے—نے خطے میں کشیدگی کو نئی بلندیوں تک پہنچا دیا ہے۔
ایران نے اس دھمکی کو مسترد کرتے ہوئے جوابی کارروائی کا عندیہ دیا ہے، جبکہ اسی دوران ایرانی میزائلوں نے حیفہ میں ایک رہائشی عمارت کو نشانہ بنایا، جس کے نتیجے میں کم از کم دو افراد ہلاک اور متعدد زخمی ہوئے۔ ملبے تلے دبے انسانوں کی خاموش چیخیں اس جنگ کی بے رحمی کا نوحہ بن گئی ہیں۔

خطے کی سرحدوں سے باہر بھی اس جنگ کی بازگشت سنائی دے رہی ہے۔ عراق، سعودی عرب، متحدہ عرب امارات اور لبنان میں ڈرون حملے، میزائلوں کی روک تھام، اور خوف کی فضا اس بات کا ثبوت ہے کہ یہ تنازع اب صرف دو ملکوں تک محدود نہیں رہا۔
