امریکہ بھر میں نو کنگز تحریک کے تحت ایک بار پھر بڑے پیمانے پر احتجاجی مظاہرے دیکھنے میں آئے، جہاں ہزاروں نہیں بلکہ لاکھوں افراد نے سڑکوں پر نکل کر صدر Donald Trump کی پالیسیوں کے خلاف اپنی آواز بلند کی۔
یہ مظاہرے نیویارک، واشنگٹن ڈی سی، لاس اینجلس، بوسٹن، ہیوسٹن اور نیش وِل سمیت تقریباً تمام بڑے شہروں میں منعقد ہوئے، جبکہ چھوٹے قصبوں میں بھی عوامی ردِعمل واضح طور پر محسوس کیا گیا۔ دارالحکومت واشنگٹن ڈی سی میں مظاہرین نے Lincoln Memorial اور نیشنل مال کے اطراف جمع ہو کر طاقت کے ارتکاز کے خلاف نعرے بلند کیے۔
منتظمین کے مطابق یہ احتجاج صدر ٹرمپ کی ان پالیسیوں کے خلاف ہے جن میں ایران کے ساتھ جاری جنگ، امیگریشن کے سخت قوانین، اور مہنگائی میں اضافہ شامل ہیں۔ مظاہرین کا کہنا تھا:
"یہ امریکہ ہے، یہاں طاقت عوام کے پاس ہے، کسی بادشاہ یا دولت مند اشرافیہ کے پاس نہیں۔”
مِنّی سوٹا میں ہونے والا احتجاج خاص طور پر اہم رہا، جہاں امیگریشن اہلکاروں کے ہاتھوں دو امریکی شہریوں کی ہلاکت کے بعد غم و غصہ شدت اختیار کر گیا۔ اس موقع پر معروف گلوکار Bruce Springsteen نے بھی شرکت کی اور اپنا احتجاجی گیت پیش کیا۔
نیویارک کے ٹائمز اسکوائر میں ہزاروں افراد نے مارچ کیا، جبکہ بعض شہروں میں کشیدگی بھی دیکھنے میں آئی۔ لاس اینجلس میں سکیورٹی اہلکاروں پر حملے کے الزام میں گرفتاریاں ہوئیں، جبکہ ڈیلس میں بھی معمولی جھڑپوں کی اطلاعات سامنے آئیں۔
وائٹ ہاؤس نے ان مظاہروں کو مسترد کرتے ہوئے انہیں “سیاسی ڈرامہ” قرار دیا، تاہم ناقدین کا کہنا ہے کہ صدر ٹرمپ کے حالیہ اقدامات امریکی جمہوریت کے لیے خطرہ بن سکتے ہیں، خاص طور پر جب وہ ایگزیکٹو اختیارات کو وسیع کر رہے ہیں اور مخالفین کے خلاف قانونی کارروائیوں کی بات کر رہے ہیں۔
دلچسپ امر یہ ہے کہ یہ احتجاج صرف امریکہ تک محدود نہیں رہا بلکہ پیرس، لندن اور لزبن میں بھی امریکی شہریوں نے یکجہتی کا مظاہرہ کیا۔

Massive protests under the “No Kings” movement have once again swept across the United States, as hundreds of thousands of demonstrators rallied against the policies of President Donald Trump.
The demonstrations took place in major cities including New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Boston, Houston, and Nashville, while smaller towns also witnessed significant public participation. In Washington DC, protesters gathered around the Lincoln Memorial and the National Mall, symbolically rejecting what they described as the centralisation of power.
Organisers stated that the protests were directed against key policies of the Trump administration, including the ongoing war with Iran, strict immigration enforcement, and the rising cost of living.
“This is America, where power belongs to the people—not to kings or billionaire elites,” one protest message read.
Minnesota emerged as a focal point of the movement following the killing of two American citizens by federal immigration agents earlier this year, which intensified nationwide outrage. Renowned musician Bruce Springsteen also joined the rally, performing a protest anthem.
In New York’s Times Square, thousands marched through the streets, while some cities reported tensions. Arrests were made in Los Angeles after clashes with federal officers, and minor scuffles were reported in Dallas.
The White House dismissed the protests as politically motivated theatrics. However, critics argue that President Trump’s expanding use of executive powers and actions against political opponents raise serious concerns about the future of American democracy.
Notably, the movement extended beyond US borders, with American expatriates staging solidarity protests in cities such as Paris, London, and Lisbon.
