فروغِ اردو کا درخشاں باب رقم

علمی بصیرت اور تہذیبی شعور کا اشتراک – اردو تحقیق، تدریس اور تخلیق کے لیے نئی سمتوں کا تعین

زبانیں صرف ابلاغ کا وسیلہ نہیں ہوتیں، وہ تہذیبوں کی روح اور قوموں کی شناخت بھی ہوتی ہیں۔ جب علمی ادارے اپنے فکری سرمایے کو یکجا کرتے ہیں تو تاریخ میں ایسے نقوش ثبت ہوتے ہیں جو آئندہ نسلوں کے لیے چراغِ راہ بن جاتے ہیں۔ اسی سلسلۂ زرّیں کی ایک نمایاں کڑی اس وقت سامنے آئی جب تمل ناڈو ریاستی اردو اکادمی (محکمۂ تعلیمِ عالیہ، حکومتِ تمل ناڈو) اور شعبۂ اردو نیو کالج چنئی کے مابین یادداشتِ مفاہمت پر دستخط عمل میں آئے۔ یہ پیش رفت اردو زبان و ادب کے فروغ کے لیے ایک سنجیدہ، بامعنی اور دور رس حکمتِ عملی کی مظہر ہے۔

یادداشتِ مفاہمت پر تمل ناڈو اسٹیٹ اردو اکادمی کی نمائندگی ڈاکٹر محمد نعیم الرحمن، نائب صدر(وائس چیئرمین)، نے کی، جب کہ شعبۂ اردو، نیو کالج کی جانب سے ڈاکٹر محمد طیب علی، صدر شعبۂ اردو، نے دستخط ثبت کیے۔ تقریب علمی وقار، فکری متانت اور ادارہ جاتی ہم آہنگی کی آئینہ دار تھی، جہاں اس عزم کا اعادہ کیا گیا کہ اردو کو تعلیمی، تحقیقی اور سماجی سطح پر مزید استحکام عطا کیا جائے گا۔

اس اہم کام میں کالج کی معزز انتظامیہ کی سرپرستی خصوصی طور پر حاصل رہی. خصوصاً جناب امتیاز پاشاہ صاحب، چیئرمین، جناب نظر محمد صاحب، سکریٹری، اور جناب یس ایم اے محمد سلیم صاحب، ٹریژرر کی خاص تعاون کے بغیر یہ کام ممکن نہیں تھا.

اس موقع پر نیو کالج چنئی کے پرنسپل ڈاکٹر ایم اسرار شریف، نائب پرنسپل ڈاکٹر اے حیدر علی، ڈاکٹر سید عبد الحمید اور اردو پروفیسر سید شبیر حسین موجود تھے اور نائب پرنسپل ڈاکٹر پی۔ اے۔ عبداللہ محبوب اور IQAC ڈائریکٹر ڈاکٹر انور سادات نے نیک خواہشات کا اظہار کیا۔ معزز اساتذہ و طلباء نے اس اشتراک کو وقت کی اہم ضرورت قرار دیتے ہوئے اسے اردو کے فروغ کی سمت ایک مؤثر اور نتیجہ خیز قدم بتایا۔

اس تین سالہ اشتراک کے تحت اردو زبان و ادب پر اعلیٰ معیار کے مذاکرے، سیمینار، کانفرنسیں اور ادبی نشستیں منعقد کی جائیں گی۔ ممتاز محققین، اہلِ قلم اور دانشوروں کی شرکت سے طلبہ کو علمی رہنمائی اور فکری بالیدگی کے مواقع میسر آئیں گے۔ تحقیق و تصنیف کی سرپرستی، معیاری کتب و مقالات کی اشاعت، اور تدریسِ اردو کے لیے جدید و مؤثر تربیتی مواد کی تیاری بھی اس معاہدے کے اہم نکات میں شامل ہے۔

اکادمی علمی و انتظامی سرپرستی فراہم کرے گی، جب کہ نیو کالج کا شعبۂ اردو ان سرگرمیوں کے انعقاد، تنظیم اور شفاف انتظام کو یقینی بنائے گا۔ ہر پروگرام کے مالی و انتظامی امور باہمی مشاورت اور واضح اصولوں کے تحت طے کیے جائیں گے تاکہ معیاری نتائج حاصل ہوں۔

علمی و ادبی حلقوں نے اس یادداشتِ مفاہمت کو اردو کے فروغ کی تاریخ میں ایک اہم اور سنگِ میل اقدام قرار دیا ہے۔ ماہرین کے مطابق یہ اشتراک ریاست میں اردو تدریس و تحقیق کو نئی توانائی بخشنے کے ساتھ نئی نسل میں زبان و ادب کے تئیں سنجیدہ شعور کو بھی تقویت دے گا۔

یہ اشتراک اس حقیقت کا روشن اظہار ہے کہ جب ادارے اخلاص، بصیرت اور ہوگی۔

حکمتِ عملی کے ساتھ متحد ہوتے ہیں تو زبانیں نہ صرف محفوظ رہتی ہیں بلکہ ارتقا کی نئی منزلیں بھی سر کرتی ہیں۔ اردو کی شمع کو فروزاں رکھنے کی یہ مشترکہ کاوش یقیناً آنے والے زمانوں میں ثمر بار ثابت ہوگی۔

A Luminous Chapter in the Promotion of Urdu

Languages are not merely a means of communication; they are the soul of civilizations and the identity of nations. When academic institutions bring together their intellectual capital, they inscribe such imprints in history that become guiding lights for future generations. In this golden chain of progress, a distinguished link has now emerged as a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Tamil Nadu State Urdu Academy (Department of Higher Education, Government of Tamil Nadu) and the Department of Urdu, The New College. This development reflects a serious, meaningful, and far-reaching strategy for the promotion of Urdu language and literature.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on behalf of the Tamil Nadu State Urdu Academy by Dr. Muhammad Naeemur Rahman, Vice Chairman, while Dr. Muhammad Tayeb Ali, Head of the Department of Urdu, The New College, signed on behalf of the Department. The ceremony reflected academic dignity, intellectual composure, and institutional harmony, where a renewed commitment was expressed to further strengthen Urdu at educational, research, and social levels.

The distinguished management of the College extended special patronage for this significant initiative. In particular, without the cooperation of Mr. Imtiyaz Pasha (Chairman), Mr. Nazar Mohammed (Secretary), and Mr. Y.S.M.A. Mohammed Saleem (Treasurer), this endeavour would not have been possible.

On this occasion, Dr. M. Israr Shareef, Principal of The New College, Dr. A. Haider Ali, Vice Principal, Dr. Syed Abdul Hameed, and Professor Syed Shabbir Hussain of the Urdu Department were present. Vice Principal Dr. P.A. Abdullah Mahboob and IQAC Director Dr. Anwar Sadaat conveyed their good wishes. Distinguished faculty members and students described this collaboration as a pressing need of the time and regarded it as an effective and result-oriented step towards the promotion of Urdu.

Under this three-year collaboration, high-quality seminars, conferences, symposia, and literary gatherings on Urdu language and literature will be organised. The participation of eminent researchers, writers, and intellectuals will provide students with opportunities for academic guidance and intellectual growth. Patronage for research and authorship, publication of quality books and research papers, and the preparation of modern and effective training materials for Urdu teaching are also included among the key features of this agreement.

The Academy will provide academic and administrative support, while the Department of Urdu at The New College will ensure the organisation, coordination, and transparent management of these activities. Financial and administrative matters of each programme will be determined through mutual consultation and clear principles to achieve qualitative outcomes.

Academic and literary circles have termed this Memorandum of Understanding a significant and milestone initiative in the history of Urdu’s promotion. According to experts, this collaboration will not only infuse new energy into Urdu teaching and research in the state but also strengthen serious literary awareness among the younger generation.

This partnership stands as a luminous affirmation of the fact that when institutions unite with sincerity, vision, and organised strategy, languages not only remain preserved but also advance toward new horizons of growth. This collective effort to keep the flame of Urdu alight will undoubtedly prove fruitful in the times to come.
