ہندوستانی سیاست میں ایک نئی بحث نے جنم لیا ہے، جہاں مختلف میڈیا رپورٹس اور سیاسی حلقوں میں یہ دعویٰ کیا جا رہا ہے کہ کانگریس قیادت نے ترنمول کانگریس کی سربراہ ممتا بنرجی اور ان کے بھتیجے ابھیشیک بنرجی کو قومی سطح پر اہم ذمہ داریاں دینے کی پیشکش کی ہے۔

اطلاعات کے مطابق کانگریس صدر سونیا گاندھی نے مبینہ طور پر ممتا بنرجی کو کانگریس کا قومی نائب صدر اور ابھیشیک بنرجی کو قومی جنرل سیکریٹری بنانے کی تجویز پیش کی ہے۔ تاہم اس بارے میں نہ تو کانگریس کی جانب سے کوئی باضابطہ اعلان کیا گیا ہے اور نہ ہی ترنمول کانگریس نے اس کی سرکاری تصدیق کی ہے۔

یہ قیاس آرائیاں ایسے وقت سامنے آئی ہیں جب مغربی بنگال اسمبلی انتخابات میں شکست کے بعد ترنمول کانگریس شدید داخلی اختلافات اور سیاسی بحران کا سامنا کر رہی ہے۔ بعض رپورٹس کے مطابق پارٹی کے کئی ارکانِ پارلیمان اور ارکانِ اسمبلی قیادت کے خلاف بغاوت کر چکے ہیں، جس کے نتیجے میں پارٹی کے مستقبل کے بارے میں سوالات اٹھ رہے ہیں۔

سیاسی مبصرین کا کہنا ہے کہ اگر ایسی کوئی پیشکش حقیقت پر مبنی ہے تو اس کا مقصد اپوزیشن اتحاد کو قومی سطح پر مضبوط کرنا اور بنگال کی سیاست میں پیدا ہونے والے خلاء کو پُر کرنا ہو سکتا ہے۔

دوسری جانب کانگریس، بائیں بازو کی جماعتوں اور دیگر اپوزیشن حلقوں کے اندر بھی اس ممکنہ سیاسی قربت پر مختلف آراء پائی جاتی ہیں۔ بعض رہنما اسے اپوزیشن اتحاد کے لیے مفید قرار دے رہے ہیں جبکہ بعض اسے سیاسی مفاد پرستی کی نئی مثال سمجھتے ہیں۔

فی الحال تمام نظریں ممتا بنرجی کے ممکنہ فیصلے اور کانگریس قیادت کے آئندہ اقدامات پر مرکوز ہیں، جو آنے والے دنوں میں ملکی سیاست کے رخ پر اثر انداز ہو سکتے ہیں۔

A fresh wave of political speculation has emerged in India following reports that the Congress leadership may have offered prominent national positions to Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee.

According to media reports and political sources, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi is said to have proposed the post of National Vice President to Mamata Banerjee and the position of National General Secretary to Abhishek Banerjee. However, neither the Congress Party nor the Trinamool Congress has officially confirmed these reports.

The speculation comes at a time when the Trinamool Congress is reportedly facing one of the most challenging phases in its political history following its defeat in the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections. Reports suggest that sections of the party’s parliamentary and legislative wings have expressed dissent against the current leadership, raising questions about the party’s future direction.

Political analysts believe that if such an offer has indeed been made, it may reflect an attempt by the Congress leadership to strengthen the broader opposition platform and preserve anti-BJP political unity at the national level.
