نئی دہلی: ملک کی حکمراں جماعت Bharatiya Janata Party (بی جے پی) نے کانگریس کی جانب سے منعقدہ ایک متنازع احتجاج کے خلاف ملک گیر مظاہروں کا اعلان کیا۔ یہ احتجاج مبینہ طور پر اے آئی سمٹ کے دوران Indian National Congress سے وابستہ کارکنان کی جانب سے کیا گیا، جسے بی جے پی نے “غیر اخلاقی اور غیر ذمہ دارانہ طرزِ عمل” قرار دیا۔
اطلاعات کے مطابق، Indian Youth Congress (آئی وائی سی) کے چار رہنماؤں کو پولیس نے گرفتار کر لیا۔ حکام کے مطابق ان پر عوامی نظم و ضبط میں خلل ڈالنے اور اشتعال انگیزی کے الزامات عائد کیے گئے ہیں۔
بی جے پی کے ترجمانوں کا کہنا ہے کہ اس نوعیت کے احتجاج سے جمہوری اقدار مجروح ہوتی ہیں اور ملک کی ساکھ متاثر ہوتی ہے، خصوصاً ایسے موقع پر جب بھارت عالمی سطح پر ٹیکنالوجی اور مصنوعی ذہانت کے میدان میں اپنی قیادت کا اظہار کر رہا ہے۔
دوسری جانب کانگریس اور آئی وائی سی کے رہنماؤں نے مؤقف اختیار کیا کہ ان کا احتجاج علامتی نوعیت کا تھا اور اس کا مقصد حکومت کی پالیسیوں کے خلاف آواز اٹھانا تھا۔ ان کا کہنا ہے کہ اختلافِ رائے جمہوریت کا بنیادی حق ہے۔
سیاسی مبصرین کے مطابق، یہ واقعہ ایسے وقت پیش آیا ہے جب ملک میں عام انتخابات کی فضا گرم ہو رہی ہے اور سیاسی درجۂ حرارت مسلسل بلند ہو رہا ہے۔
BJP Protests Nationwide Over Congress ‘Topless’ AI Summit Demonstration; Four IYC Leaders Arrested
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched nationwide protests in response to a controversial demonstration allegedly staged by members affiliated with the Indian National Congress during an AI Summit event. The ruling party termed the act “indecent and irresponsible.”
According to official sources, four leaders of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC) were detained by the police. Authorities stated that the arrests were made on charges related to public disorder and provocative conduct.
BJP representatives argued that such forms of protest undermine democratic decorum and damage India’s global image, especially at a time when the country seeks to project leadership in the field of Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies.
Meanwhile, Congress and IYC leaders defended their action, describing it as symbolic protest aimed at drawing attention to government policies. They maintained that dissent remains a constitutional right within a democratic framework.
Political observers note that the episode comes amid heightened political tensions as the country moves closer to a crucial electoral season.
